Daisetsuzan National Park

#thingstodo One of the best, most rugged national parks in the world. The wind is no joke on the peaks. Bring a windbreaker with a hood for any season. Not a lot of water, so plan ahead! I went in late September and the fall colors were already in full swing. Also the backcountry trails are very steep. If you have knee problems, probably don’t try to summit these mountains. It’s intense on the way back down. But oh so beautiful. My photos don’t come close to capturing it.
