Big Buddha statue (Wat Luang Pho To, Sikhiu, Korat)

Luang Pho To, Si Khiu District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province, is home to a large blackened brass statue of Luang Pho To (Somdet Phra Phutthachan To Phrommarangsi). The founder was Mr. Sorapong Chatree, a famous Thai movie star. Visitors who come here not only get to pay homage and ask for blessings from Luang Pho To, but also get to experience the beautiful architecture and the neatly decorated gardens that are lush and green. The statue of Somdet Phra Phutthachan (To Phrommarangsi) is 8 meters and 1 inch wide, 13 meters high, and weighs 61 tons. The construction cost was over 9 million baht. A grand hall in the form of a kutakara (chedi roof to enshrine a Buddha image) was built as a tribute to the Somdet Phra Phutthachan (To Phrommarangsi) Foundation.
