#VisitSecondaryCities One of the important landmarks of secondary cities in Surin Province is Prasat Sikhoraphum, a stone castle that reflects the ancient Khmer architecture of the Angkor Wat period. Although it is over a thousand years old, the elegance and charm of ancient art have not faded. It is an ancient site that should be visited at least once in a lifetime. Prasat Sikhoraphum is also known as Prasat Raeng, which comes from the name of Raeng Subdistrict. It is assumed to have been built since the 17th Buddhist century. It features Khmer art in the Bapuan style (1550-1650) and Angkor Wat style (1650-1700). It was originally a temple to worship Shiva, the god of Hinduism. The distinctive features are the 5 prangs, located on a laterite base, with the main prang in the center, surrounded by 4 other prangs.
