One of the landmarks that you definitely can't miss when visiting Surin is Prasat Sikhoraphum. Even though it's over a thousand years old, the elegance and charm of ancient art have not faded. It is an ancient site that you should visit at least once in your life. The highlight of Prasat Sikhoraphum is the 5 prangs located on a laterite base. There is a main prang in the center, surrounded by 4 other prangs. There are carvings of apsaras holding lotuses and door guardians holding batons at the door. These carvings of apsaras are very similar to those at Angkor Wat in Cambodia. It is believed that there is no art like this in any other ancient Khmer art castle in Thailand.
