SPECIALTY COFFEE BAR & RESTAURANT ALONG UPPER THOMSON! ☕️🪵

By the same folks behind @thekinscafe, Oaks Coffee Co is the latest among the café haven of Upper Thomson - and just in time for Christmas! 🎄Taking over the space that was previously occupied by Habitat Coffee, Oaks is built to serve not just specialty coffee, but also an all-day menu featuring Asian fusion café delights. 🍳 The decor is a mix of Scandinavian and modern Victorian, with tinted mirror walls and wooden accents. 🪵 We had the 𝗕𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗚𝗮𝗿𝗹𝗶𝗰 𝗠𝘂𝘀𝗵𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗺 𝗣𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗮, which we assume is their take on the café staple - Aglio Olio. The pasta is cooked nicely with a nice garlicky aroma. The polenta chip is an interesting addition, giving the dish a slight crunch. 🧄 The 𝗟𝗮𝗸𝘀𝗮 𝗢𝗿𝘇𝗼 𝗣𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗮 is more like a risotto but has a strong familiar flavour of 𝘭𝘢𝘬𝘴𝘢 spice, which is pretty good! 🥘 The 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗲𝗻 & 𝗖𝗮𝘂𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗱 𝗥𝗶𝗰𝗲 is an interesting addition for a café. The chicken is moist, but we’re expecting more “𝘸𝘰𝘬 𝘩𝘦𝘺” when it comes to fried rice. 🍳 #singaporetrip#food
