Shihu Scenic Area is one of the 13 scenic areas of the national Taihu Lake Scenic Area. It is located on the southwest outskirts of Gusu City, on the shore of Taihu Lake, and spans three administrative districts: Gusu District, High-tech Zone, and Wuzhong District. It is 5.5 km from the ancient city of Suzhou and has a planned area of 26.15 square kilometers. The scenic area is centered around pastoral scenery and Wu-Yue relics. It is a scenic spot in the Jiangnan region with a long history, rich culture, and abundant natural resources.
