Qigu Salt Mountain is located in Qigu District, Tainan City. It is one of the largest Qigu salt field ruins in Taiwan. Every few years when I come to Tainan to play, I will visit this distinctive salt mountain, take photos and eat salty popsicles. It is considered a very relaxing trip. In 2023, there will be a new art installation at the Chigu Salt Mountain, which is based on the protagonist of Taiwan's salt industry history, the "Salt Worker" - "Monologue under the Salt Carrier", which features the action of carrying salt to the pile, and retro furnishings such as trolleys, salt bags, salt baskets, and shoulder poles are arranged under the salt mountain site. In addition to the salt mountain, there are also some salt sculptures to appreciate in the indoor venue, such as spaceships and other cosmic-themed scenes, as well as 12 salt sculptures of Yunlin, Chiayi and Nanning’s characteristic attractions and local ecology.
