Hot springs and time interweaving: a quiet afternoon in Beitou

#Taipei Itinerary Tonight we will stay at the elegant and ancient Taipei Grand Hotel. The palace-style building is majestic and magnificent, and is one of Taipei’s historical landmarks. Today’s pace is gentle, and I choose to go to the Beitou Hot Spring Museum to soak in a cultural soup for my soul. The former bathhouse has now been transformed into a cultural exhibition hall, where Japanese wooden structures coexist with Roman arcades, and the slight creaking of the floor seems to tell of the past. The museum exhibits the evolution of hot spring culture, old photos and original baths, allowing people to see the aesthetics of life through bathing. The afternoon sun shines through the paper sliding door, a cup of hot tea and the greenery outside the window, it is so quiet that only the sound of the spring can be heard. Returning to the Grand Hotel and walking along the staircase corridor, I felt that the beauty of history was like a hot spring, warm and unobtrusive.
