[Amami Oshima] Lunch at a tofu shop that's worth waiting in line for!

While traveling on Amami Oshima, I came across a restaurant with an intriguing name, so I stopped in for lunch. This "Shima Tofu-ya" is a tofu shop that makes the island tofu that is distributed on Amami Oshima. It's so popular with locals and tourists alike that it fills up as soon as it opens. Of course, there was a wait, and we waited for over an hour, but the amazing taste and volume made it a delicious lunch that was worth waiting in line for. Even more surprising was the reasonable price, with a set meal that was so big you couldn't finish it for 1,300 yen. You'll definitely have to queue, so make sure you arrive with plenty of time, but it's a famous restaurant that you should definitely visit.
