[Amami Oshima] Stay at Hotel Caretta, a World Heritage Site

📍Amami Oshima, Kagoshima Prefecture Amami Oshima was registered as a World Heritage Site in 2021. The hotel is surrounded by rich nature and is just a short walk from the sea. The meals, which have been praised by word of mouth, are all exceptionally delicious. I was able to enjoy the hotel while on Amami Oshima! The facilities were so well-equipped that I thought I would, so I will introduce them along with my experience. ⚫︎Accommodation: Hotel Caretta ⚫︎Access: 15 minutes by car from Amami Airport (shuttle service available, reservations must be made the day before), free parking About the facilities ⚫︎Marine activities The sea is right in front of you/hotel private pool/large jacuzzi. There is also a service that rents marine goods for free. It's nice that you can reduce your baggage and rent when you suddenly want to play! *Closed in winter/Marine goods are limited in quantity ⚫︎Bicycle rental Free rental only for guests You can go to nearby facilities and cafes, or go on a short bike ride. There are also bicycles for children, so you can go for a leisurely bike ride. *Bicycles are limited in quantity ⚫︎Experience activities Candle making/Chinese shell accessory making experience Snorkeling experience/Yoga/Paragliding experience/SUP...and many more There are many activities introduced. If you are interested in an experience or want to do something, ask the staff. ⚫︎Meals Breakfast: A buffet with a selection of Japanese and Western dishes. The bread is freshly baked and there is a wide variety. It is nice that there are many small dishes so you can eat a little bit of each type. Dinner: You can choose between a course meal or a la carte. The menu has a wide variety of dishes, from local cuisine to Italian. The chef's homemade dishes are warm and carefully prepared, and all of them are delicious.
