#chinatransit The Beijing-Tianjin Intercity Railway is an intercity railway connecting Beijing and Tianjin. It is an important part of the intercity rail transit network in the central Bohai Region of China's "Medium- and Long-term Railway Network Plan".The railway officially opened for operation on August 1, 2008. The initial operating speed is 350 km/h, the total length is about 166 km, there are 7 stations, and the designed maximum speed is 350 km/h. Tianjin Rail Transit refers to the urban rail transit system serving Tianjin City. Its first line opened for operation on December 28, 1984.As of December 2024, there are 11 operating lines of Tianjin Rail Transit, including Line 1, Line 2, line 3, line 4, line 5, line 6, Line 6 Phase II, line 9, Line 10, line 11 and Jinjing Line, with an operating mileage of 335 kilometers and 204 stations, including 27 transfer stations. In addition, the Tianjin Rail Transit Jinwu Line (also known as the "Tongwulang Municipal (Suburban) Railway”) is a planned rail transit line. It is planned to start from the North Railway Station of Beichen District, Tianjin, pass through Wuqing City and extend to Langfang City, Hebei Province and Tongzhou District, Beijing. The total length is about 90 kilometers and the design operating speed is 200 kilometers per hour. The Tianjin-Jing Line of Tianjin Rail Transit is the first municipal railway in Tianjin and was officially completed and opened to traffic on September 28, 2024.This line fills the gap in rail transit in Jinghai Area, realizes rapid access to peripheral new cities and urban centers, and has played a positive role in promoting economic and social development along the route. Tianjin Rail Transit Line 9 (Jinbin Light Rail) is a major transportation artery connecting the central city of Tianjin and Binhai New Area. Due to insufficient capacity and aging equipment, Line 9 has undergone a signal system transformation and adopted a localized Cbtc signal system. It is expected that the capacity will be increased by about 40%, and the minimum departure interval will be shortened from 4.5 minutes to 3 minutes, and the transportation efficiency will be qualitatively improved.
