Tokyo Metropolitan Teien Art Museum

The Tokyo Metropolitan Teien Art Museum, located in Meguro, is a museum that has been renovated from the former residence of Prince Asaka. It hosts various special exhibitions from time to time. This time, there was a special exhibition themed around lighting, unraveling the history of Art Deco through the lighting fixtures actually used in the former residence of Prince Asaka. I visited with my son, who is studying architecture. The lighting fixtures in each room, designed with the cutting-edge styles of their time, still look timeless and were an amazing display. My son, a member of Generation Z, was greatly impressed, and it was touching to see how top-notch craftsmanship transcends generations and continues to live on. :)
