Tokyo’s Vintage Treasure Trove

Tokyo is often seen as hyper modern and futuristic, but the city has a treasure trove of more vintage neighbourhoods too! My favourite: Jinbocho! This district is filled with used book shops and second-hand stores, like Magnif which stocks a huge collection of 1950s-1970s magazines. If you get hungry while exploring, why not have some authentic yakisoba at Yakisoba Mikasa! A simple, local spot serving really delicious noodles for really cheap prices. And finally, wind down from the day at the fairytale Mafumi Coffee. It’s a coffee shop known for both its cheesecake and its almost endless bookshelves, filled with stories you can read while you eat. Mafumi is popular so you might have to wait a bit to get a seat, but it’s absolutely worth it once you’re inside and lost in the ambiance!! #tokyotravel
