MATSURI- Autumn Festival at Yoyogi Hachimangu

If you think Japan's festival season ends with the summer, you're wrong! Yoyogi Hachimangu dresses up for it's Autumn Festival with walls of warm white lanterns every September. This year, it opened for the first time in 3 years after the effect of COVID-19. You'll see dozens of food stalls for chocolate covered bananas, candied apples, yakisoba, french fries, meat skewers, takoyaki, okonomiyaki, etc etc! Everywhere you look, there's people wearing yukatas and fox masks, families taking a part in kingyo sukui (goldfish scooping) and shooting galleries.
