Yishuntang Hall in Shigang Village, Tonglu, Zhejiang

Located in a small alley on the west side of Shigang Old Street (a county-level historical and cultural district) in Fengchuan Town, Yishuntang Hall was originally built by the Hua family. It is now home to four families, including Fang Yinhua's, who were allocated the property during land reform. Built after the Xianfeng period of the Qing Dynasty, this east-facing, two-story, four-sided courtyard house covers 268 square meters and features a three-room, two-hall layout with two alleys. It has a double-sloped, hard-mountain roof with horse head walls and a stone-framed gate. The first floor has a width of 13.55 meters and a depth of 6.35 meters in the central room, supported by a seven-purlin, four-pillar frame. The central room's beam structure is a five-frame beam with double front steps. The double-sloped, hard-mountain roof has a double eave at the back, and staircases are located in the two side rooms. The courtyard is paved with stone slabs, and there are single-sloped, hard-mountain roofed side rooms on both sides, forming a covered walkway. The second floor is 0.16 meters higher than the first floor, with a depth of 7.8 meters and a double-sloped, hard-mountain roof. The central room has a front porch, and staircases are located in the side rooms. The courtyard's surrounding area features concentrated carvings and decorations, and the skirting boards depict figures and stories. The wooden pillars rest on stone bases. Yishuntang Hall is a key ancient building in Shigang Old Street, a county-level historical and cultural district, and is a protected cultural relic of Tonglu County.
