Zhengjiaping Ancient Village, Tongshan, Hubei

There are three ancient residences in Jieshan Natural Bay, Zhengjiaping Village, only 3 kilometers from the county seat. These buildings date back to the late Qing Dynasty and feature the typical style of southeastern Hubei. The courtyards, window lattices, skylights, and carvings are well preserved, making it a rare architectural complex with significant social, historical, architectural, artistic, research, and viewing value. Among them, the "Filial Son Archway" and "Doctor's Residence" in Le Jieshan were built by the Le family during the Daoguang period (1768). More than 30 side rooms remain, with exquisite carving craftsmanship. The site is rich in cultural heritage and showcases the Chinese virtue of "filial piety." It is listed as part of the fifth batch of China's traditional villages.
