One of the most unforgettable adventures I had in New Zealand was climbing waterfalls with my Malaysian friend at Wildwire Wānaka. It wasn’t just a hike—it was a via ferrata climb right up the side of Twin Falls! It took about 3-4 hours and involved climbing metal rungs, crossing wire bridges, and even going behind a waterfall. It was such a cool bonding moment—we were laughing, cheering each other on, and soaking wet but so happy by the end!👬👫 Wildwire Wānaka is located about 20 minutes from the town center on Mount Aspiring Road, inside a private deer farm with breathtaking views. The most extreme “Lord of the Rungs” (with a helicopter ride down!) costs NZD $599.
