Leaving Wanning hit me harder than a breakup.

Seriously, who can relate?! It's been days since I came back from Wanning, but my heart is still on those coconut-lined beaches🌴. I've been obsessively scrolling through my photos, reliving all the happy moments I had there. This post-trip blues is hitting me harder than a breakup. I just have to share my Wanning journey with you all👇 🏖️Romantic Seaside Moments The sea in Wanning is truly the most atmospheric I've ever seen! The sand at Shimei Bay is as fine as flour, soft and warm beneath my feet👣. The crystal-clear water is as blue as a giant sapphire💙, with gentle waves lapping against the shore, creating a soothing melody. I woke up early every morning to watch the sunrise🌅. The sky would start with a hint of pink, gradually transforming into orange and red as the sun peeked over the horizon. The breathtaking beauty is beyond words. In the evenings, I'd relax on a beach chair, sipping coconut water🥥 and watching the sunset. As the golden light washed over me, all my worries seemed to melt away. 🏄‍♀️First-Time Surfing A trip to Wanning wouldn't be complete without trying surfing! Riyue Bay is a surfer's paradise🏄‍♀️. Even as a complete newbie, I mustered the courage to give it a go. The instructor was incredibly patient, guiding me through the basics. After countless tumbles and climbs back onto the board, I actually managed to stand up and ride a wave! It was such a cool feeling! Despite the aches and pains, the sense of accomplishment was immense😎. Riyue Bay also has a fantastic atmosphere, with unique shops lining the shore. After a tiring surf session, grabbing some snacks and chatting with friends was pure bliss. 🍜A Culinary Journey Through Wanning The food in Wanning was unforgettable🤤. Zaopocu is a must-try! The sour and spicy broth, combined with seafood, vegetables, and tofu, is an explosion of flavors. Then there's the seafood barbecue, with freshly caught shrimp, crabs, and shellfish🦀 grilled over charcoal until sizzling, sprinkled with salt, pepper, and chili flakes. The aroma is irresistible, and I could easily devour a whole platter. Qingbuliang is another favorite of mine. A bowl filled with sweet red beans, soft barley, chewy coconut jelly, and topped with rich coconut milk. It's a cool and refreshing treat, the perfect taste of summer. 🚗Travel Tips Renting a car is a great way to get around Wanning🚗. It gives you the freedom to explore at your own pace. Driving along the coastline, with the sea breeze in your hair and your favorite music playing, is incredibly relaxing. You can stop whenever you want to admire the scenery and take photos. If you prefer not to drive, taxis are readily available, although you might have to wait a bit during peak season. 📌Friendly Reminders Sunscreen is essential in Wanning! The UV rays are strong, and I learned that the hard way. I got severely sunburned because I skipped the sunscreen😭. Also, book your accommodations in advance, especially during peak season, as good hotels are in high demand. If you're planning to visit popular attractions, it's best to go early to avoid long queues. Leaving Wanning was truly bittersweet.
