Wuxi | Daning River

| Daning River. ◾️Daning River, originating from Xintiankan in the northwest of Wuxi County, Chongqing, traverses the Yunyan Gorge between Bashan and Wushan, crossing Wuxi and Wushan counties under Chongqing's jurisdiction. Daning River is renowned as the world's first stream. Along the riverbanks, there are Miaoxia, Scissors Gorge, Ningchang Ancient Town, Lingwu Cave, Crescent Gorge, Jixin Ridge, etc. The scenery is beautiful with secluded gorges, ancient temples and towns, and picturesque landscapes. ◾️Scissors Peak is located on the west bank of Daning River, 5 kilometers from the county town. It is the only way from Wuxi County to Ningchang Ancient Town. The two peaks stand opposite each other, rising abruptly from the ground, resembling scissors, piercing straight into the sky. Scissors Peak boasts beautiful scenery, with mountains and waters connected. You can walk to the plank road at the foot of the peak via Lianxin Bridge. The plank road at the foot of the peak extends from Wuxi County to Ningchang Ancient Town. Above are sheer cliffs, and below are the surging river waters. There is no hustle and bustle, no pollution, no noise, immersing you in the mountains and waters.
