Yintiaoling Nature Reserve is located in Wuxi County, Chongqing. It is the remnant of the Shennongjia virgin forest. The main peak, Yintiaoling, is 2,796.8 meters above sea level, making it the highest point in Chongqing. It is known as the "highest peak in Chongqing." The Yintiaoling forest area is the only virgin forest in Chongqing. Hiking route: The round-trip route is about 18 km, with an elevation gain of about 1,400 meters. Route highlights: The most beautiful thing in winter is, of course, the snow-covered virgin forest. It is incredibly dreamy, with the entire forest covered in silver. Sometimes you walk through the forest, sometimes through open meadows, waist-high bamboo forests, and snow that crunches underfoot. There are undulating mountains and a sea of clouds in the distance. Of course, the most important thing is the special significance of Yintiaoling as the "highest peak in Chongqing." Important reminder: This route has a large elevation gain and starts with a steep climb, so it is not suitable for everyone. It is recommended that those with some hiking experience go with a companion.
