[Guide to Xiaoxitian]

🏞️ Introduction: Located on the peak of Fenghuang Mountain in Xixian County, Shanxi Province, Xiaoxitian was originally called Qianfo Temple and was a Zen Buddhist temple built in the 7th year of the Chongzhen period of the Ming Dynasty. It is famous for the thousand Buddha statues in the Mahavira Hall and its exquisite hanging sculptures, and is known as the "Museum of Chinese Hanging Sculpture Art." 🕗 Opening hours: Open all year round from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. 🎫 Ticket information: Adult tickets are CNY 35 per person per visit, and half-price tickets are CNY 18 per person per visit. Children, people with disabilities, military personnel, seniors, and religious people can enter for free or at a discount. 🚶 Tour time: It is recommended to spend 2–3 hours to savor the story behind each Buddha statue and hanging sculpture. 🗺️ Travel route: Walk or drive from the foot of the mountain to the mountain gate, first visit the Wuliang Hall and Weituo Hall in the lower courtyard, then go up the stone steps to visit the Mahavira Hall and Moyun Pavilion in the upper courtyard, and finally climb to the top to overlook the mountains and rivers of Xixian County. 📜 History: Xiaoxitian was built by Zen Master Dongming in 1634, and was repaired and expanded several times during the Qing Dynasty.
