Xianju, Taizhou, Zhejiang | A place to relax, 2-day itinerary!

● Destination: Xianju, Taizhou, Zhejiang Hotel: Days Hotel Wyndham Xianju (newly opened in 2025, brand new hotel with dining and other facilities) 🚗Transportation: Self-driving, 1.5 hours from Wenzhou to Xianju Must-visit route: Day 1: Check in at Days Hotel Wyndham Xianju (pictures 2–10) - Tongjiang Academy (picture 13) - Potang Ancient Town (pictures 11–12) Day 2: Yong'an River Greenway or Shenxianju Scenic Area (picture 14) Itinerary tips: Day 1: You can check in at the hotel first or visit Tongjiang Academy and Potang Ancient Town first when you arrive in Xianju County. I arrived at noon, so I went to Baita Tourism Street to have some local snacks (picture 15) before visiting the attractions. I checked in at the hotel at 4 pm. ✨About the hotel🏨 I booked a family room, so I didn't need to bring any supplies for my child. The hotel provides everything, including toiletries. The hotel is very thoughtful and even provides a step stool for children to use at the sink! I arrived at the hotel at 4 pm, and there was afternoon tea in the atrium (for hotel guests). For convenience, I had dinner at the hotel. The hotel has a restaurant and serves authentic local food. The food was delicious, and the environment was clean and refreshing. After dinner, I went to the hotel gym for a workout! ✨Potang Ancient Town: The ancient town has a great atmosphere and is full of ancient buildings left over from history. The stone and wood carvings are exquisite, and the town has a simple folk style. It is not commercialized, and there are small bridges and flowing water. Residents still use the original river water to wash vegetables and clothes! The ancient town is not crowded and is very quiet, making it a great place to live! ✨Tongjiang Academy: The first academy in Jiangnan. The academy is very large and has a history of more than 800 years. It is the best-preserved academy in Jiangnan. The academy is quiet, and you can see many elements of ancient Chinese culture and the unique small bridges and flowing water of Jiangnan. It is a great place to relax! Day 2: ✨Yong'an River Greenway or Shenxianju Scenic Area I like to relax, so I chose the greenway. It is still a place with few people. 🌿 Walking on the greenway, I felt like I was stepping into the arms of nature with every step. The falling leaves were beautiful.
