Huang's Ancestral Hall in Chongdun Village, Xinfeng, Jiangxi

The Huang Clan Ancestral Hall is located in Anxi Town, Xinfeng County, Ganzhou City, Jiangxi Province. The large house group in Chongdun Village was built in the Qing Dynasty. It faces east and west, has a large brick structure, a gable roof, a horse-head wall, three bays, a width of 12.2 meters, a depth of 38.4 meters, and a height of 9 meters, covering a total area of ​​468.48 square meters. The fence and eaves are decorated with gray sculptures of flowers, bluestone door frames, stone plaques embedded in the door lintels, and "Huang's Ancestral Hall" carved in relief. The ancestral hall consists of a well and two halls. In the raised-beam hall, there is a square stage supported by columns and wooden boards. It is 6 meters wide and 6 meters deep. The stage is 2 meters above the ground. There is a human-cornered caisson on the top. There are dragon and phoenix arch patterns on the wooden columns, moon beams, and under the eaves. The shape is exquisite. There is a god's altar in the bedroom, with 10 symmetrical rows of pillars. Wooden columns, drum and octagonal footings. The craftsmanship is exquisite and the original style is maintained. It has certain historical and cultural value for studying the Huang family history.
