Longxing Temple in Xinjiang is laid out symmetrically along a central axis, with the following buildings from south to north: the mountain gate, 108 steps, Biluo Stele, Mahavira Hall, east and west side halls, Longxing Pagoda, and Song and Jin dynasty ancient tombs. Longxing Pagoda is a landmark building in Jiangzhou, and the ancient pagoda is famous mainly for the mysterious phenomenon of smoke rising from the pagoda. According to the 1941 "Stele Inscription on the Reconstruction of Longxing Temple in Xinjiang," in the first year of the Guangxu period (1875), "smoke rose from the top of the pagoda, straight up into the sky, as a sign of success in the imperial examinations." On the Mid-Autumn Festival in 1971, every day near dusk, wisps of blue smoke rose from the top of the pagoda, circling around the top of the pagoda, lasting for about half an hour before disappearing on its own. The smoke could be clearly seen from 300 to 400 meters away from the pagoda, and it continued for more than ten days before stopping, with no less than a thousand people watching every day. According to the Xinjiang County Museum, from August 21 to 28, 1993, for eight consecutive days, smoke rose from the pagoda every day near dusk, with varying durations, and the cause is still to be scientifically verified. In addition, the temple preserves the "Biluo Stele" and nine valuable steles from the Ming and Qing dynasties, as well as six stone lions. Below the steps southeast of the pagoda are two Song and Jin dynasty brick chamber tombs relocated in 1995.
