My favorite cafe in Shanghai! ✨

This incandescent restaurant is located in the One ITC mall in Xuhui around the corner from the Tiffany Store. While the restaurant is small, that doesn’t take away from its heavenly sentiment. To feel like one is floating on a cloud or gazing into a field of fluffy white parachutes from the dandelion. Springtime is year-round at Tomacado where every dish and beverage is served and garnished with fresh flowers. The thoughtful and brilliant colors of the menu compelled me to buy many courses for dinner. The vibrant pictures and thorough descriptions of each dish made me want to try everything on the menu; and so I did. (For the most part, haha) My eyes marveled at the transformation of my drink 1st drink from sapphire to purple hues of lilac, magenta, and violet. My mouth savored every bite of the risotto. The roasted chicken; both tender and flavorsome. The rose velvet cake brought back memories of Valentine’s Day as the penetrating smell of roses lingered with every bite. And so on with the other drinks and food items. To say that I enjoyed my visit to Tomacado would be an understatement. To the average consumer perhaps this establishment is just one of many “cute cafes”. However, to understand true culinary artistry is to know the meticulous organization and effort purposefully designed for the enjoyment of the guest.
