It is currently open to the public for free as the Yamagata Prefectural Museum, and there is a free parking lot at the back. I was excited to see the wonderful architecture that exudes Taisho romanticism. It is said that the emperor waved to the citizens of the prefecture from the balcony, and the view from there was amazing.
