Hottarakashi Onsen, a secret hot spring in Yamanashi Hottarakashi Onsen is famous among locals but not so well known among tourists. Contrary to its name, Hottarakashi Onsen is so beautiful and pleasant that no one can leave it alone. If you go for a bath early in the morning, you can see the sunrise, during the day you can see the townscape spreading out before your eyes and Mt. Fuji towering right in front of you, in the evening you can see the sunset, and at night you can see the night view of the city lit up. By the way, there are many villas scattered in the forest around this hot spring, so if you stay in one of them, you can experience both Mt. Fuji from below and from high up, which is a great deal.
