The walk from Dongguan Street isn’t short—skip unless you’re set on photos. Slender West Lake Scenic Area 🌿 Planned route (no backtracking): East Gate - Shibi Liucong - Zanhua Pavilion - Twenty-Four Bridges - Xichun Terrace - South Bank - White Pagoda - Five Pavilion Bridge (cross to north bank) - Little Golden Hill - Fishing Terrace - Xu Garden - Exit South Gate. 🌿 Reality: The park is massive (four gates; north has fewer highlights). Summer heat + mom’s stamina = opted for shuttle (40/pax, 20-min loop with commentary, drops at Five Pavilion Bridge) + electric boat (200/hour, fits 5, easy to pilot—see Fig. 3 for route).
