Dayouqiu: The Next Internet-famous Spot at West Taihu Lake

Wuxi Nianhua Bay is a well-known tourist destination. As a tourist resort with a "Zen" theme, it became a popular internet-famous spot shortly after opening, and has won honors such as "China's Best Tourism Project Award" and "China's Top 10 Most Popular Towns." However, few people know about Dayouqiu, which is also located in Yixing, Wuxi. Dayouqiu Scenic Area is located on the west bank of Taihu Lake, facing Nianhua Bay and Lingshan Grand Buddha across the lake, and is known as the "Great Nianhua Bay." The name "Dayouqiu" comes from a famous line in the poem "Autumn Crops Like Clouds" by Tang Dynasty poet Jiang Fang, who was from Yixing: "Where the eyes can see like clouds, the three fields have a great autumn," meaning that everywhere you look, there are scenes of harvest. The entire scenic area has a planned total investment of over CNY 20 billion and a planned area of 4,500 mu. The first phase, Zhushan, has been completed and opened, covering an area of about 380,000 square meters, including Fushan Temple, Zhushan Academy, Xinliuge, Yanying Corridor, Youqiu Sustainable Farm, Ranquzhou Wetland Park, Zhuli Commercial Street, and more. Due to its distance from Yixing city center and inconvenient transportation, there are no bustling crowds here. Strolling through the area, you are surrounded by tranquility and leisure, with a faint fragrance of flowers and plants lingering at the tip of your nose, making you unconsciously let go of distractions and slowly calm down, as if entering a poetic world beyond the mundane. As more projects in the scenic area are completed, Dayouqiu will soon become a new internet-famous spot. Travel tips: Address: Zhoutai Road, Yixing City Transportation: Take Yixing Bus 382 to Fushan Temple Station, then walk 267 meters; or take Yixing Bus 240 to Hubin Road Station, then walk 3 km. As Bus 382 has long intervals and Bus 240 is far away, it is recommended to drive or take a taxi, or take a bus to Zhoutie Town and then take a taxi.
