Hidden Splendor: The Ten Mile Gallery

Between Qingtang Town and Gong'an Town in Zhongshan County, Hezhou, Guangxi, lies a stretch of karst peaks spanning dozens of miles. These clustered peaks, each with its unique charm, have earned the area the nickname "Little Guilin." This is the Zhongshan Ten Mile Gallery. Today, I braved the wind and stepped into this gallery. The first sight that greeted me was the Old Man Rock, standing like a venerable寿星 (god of longevity), its facial features distinct: short hair, long eyebrows, deep-set eyes, and a welcoming smile. Its left hand is raised high, as if beckoning me in. It's truly magical. Continuing my stroll, I saw a series of undulating peaks unfold before me. Some resemble swords piercing the sky, others like towering jade shoots. Among the most stunning are the Lotus Pond Peaks, the Twin Peaks, the Three Sisters Peaks, the Husband and Wife Mountain, and the Guanyin Mountain. They create a vibrant and captivating natural painting that stretches for ten miles. Suddenly, a tranquil lake appeared, nestled amidst the mountains. As the breeze brushed the water's surface, the reflections of the mountains danced in a silent, mesmerizing performance. The Ten Mile Gallery is breathtakingly beautiful. Secluded and elegant, it boasts the wild charm of the mountains, the natural beauty of streams and fields, and the picturesque scenery of mountains and waters. Being here feels like experiencing the tranquility of "picking chrysanthemums beneath the eastern fence, gazing leisurely at the southern mountain." It's a real-life Shangri-La. I was deeply moved and enchanted by the scenery, immersing myself in the landscape, lost in the gallery, reluctant to leave.
