I especially recommend Yuelai Inn; the rooms are very spacious and quiet next to the mountain. We stayed on the fourth floor, which has a large terrace, and the first picture was taken there. Just a few flights of stairs down, and you're at the place to fetch spring water, very convenient. The landlady lent us a car, and we drove to nearby Nanre Ancient Village and Wugong Mountain, which were very scenic, and the air was so fresh, like a natural oxygen bar haha. Dining: We ate at Mr. Xu's restaurant for mixed noodles, Shanghai wontons, Fuding sliced meat, Yang's potstickers, tube bone noodles, Tuzha noodles, plum vegetable meat cakes, fried spicy food, and drank Lan Jiangjun's mulberry milkshake and juicy mulberry for several days in a row. We also went to the Selenium Rice Restaurant, which was quite busy. We casually visited the Tujia cuisine restaurant several times, all of which were good. The rice here is very delicious, selenium-rich rice, with a chewy and sticky fragrance. I couldn't help but eat many bowls of rice haha. There was also a cake shop, I don't remember the name, but they had a little panda cake inside, which was super delicious, soft and not too sweet, with a milky flavor! In the last few days, my parents mostly bought groceries and cooked for themselves. Most of the grandparents here for recuperation cook for themselves, probably because it's more comfortable and suits their own taste~ We spent a super slow-paced life here, everyone basking in the sun in the pavilions, soaking their feet in the water, and there's even a long pavilion dedicated to massages and ear picking. I watched someone get their ears picked for a long time one day, it was so relaxing... I experienced the peacefulness of life, soaking in the hot springs every day, an INFP's retirement paradise. Many elderly people from Shanghai and Guangdong come here to live for a long time, for health preservation, peace of mind, and retirement. I looked at the housing prices, and it seems they have already reached 20,000 haha...

From April 5th to 7th, 2024, I came to Yichun Wentang Town for a spring outing. This place can be described as having clear mountains and beautiful waters, brimming with the essence of spring. Located in Jiangxi, this small town is famous for its selenium-rich hot springs, attracting tourists from all directions. It's the season of continuous spring rain, which, like the gentle drizzle of the Jiangnan region, combined with distant green mountains, flowing streams, the tender green of budding flowers, plants, and trees, and the comfortable temperature, is utterly intoxicating! The various hotels and homestays on Wentang Town's Spring Street allow you to comfortably soak in the selenium-rich hot springs, nourishing and invigorating your body. A variety of gourmet snack stalls and restaurants let you feast to your heart's content, replenishing nutrients and restoring energy. Various coffee shops, tea houses, small bars, and massage parlors provide a place for you to relax and rejuvenate. The local farmers' market sells all kinds of seasonal fresh river delicacies and vegetables, allowing you to showcase your cooking skills with good quality and low prices. Spring in Yichun Wentang Town is truly beautiful!

Yichun, a small city in Jiangxi, is famous as a "hot spring holiday city". Wentang Town, located at the foot of Mingyue Mountain, is a lodging place for many holidaymakers. The town is known for an ancient well that dates back a thousand years, producing selenium-rich hot spring water that is very beneficial to human health. Therefore, it has become the preferred destination for many people's health and leisure. The town has almost everything one could need for eating, drinking, and entertainment, making it a great place to stay for a while. In the center of the town, there is an Ancient Well Park, where you can get up close to this ancient well. The water from this well is known as the "Thousand-Year Zen Hot Spring". The temperature of the hot spring water is consistently around sixty to seventy degrees Celsius throughout the year, and it is rich in various trace elements essential to the human body. Wentang Town has a century-old well that is still bubbling away. The hot springs here are rich in selenium and are very beneficial to the human body Tired? Take a rest in the ancient well town, soak in the hot springs, enjoy some delicious food, and feel utterly relaxed. There are also many health and wellness establishments, and convalescent homes, attracting many elderly people from all over the country who come here by reputation. I'm even thinking of retiring early and staying here

Wentang hot springs are rich in resources, having flowed continuously for a thousand years, and the water contains selenium among other trace elements. It is categorized as a 'high selenium, low sulfur' spring, one of only two such places in the world; the other is located in France. A group of us retirees came to Wentang Town for a leisurely stay. Each room in our guesthouse had its own soaking pool, and it was extremely comfortable to take a dip after a day of activities, washing away all the fatigue. We also tried the delicious bone powder soup cooked with selenium spring water, which was incredibly refreshing.

Yichun, Yichun, you are such a beautiful tourist city. I originally came here for hot springs, but I didn't expect to catch a heavy snow. But it doesn't matter, I just like to travel in rainy and snowy weather, and I love these unexpected surprises. I originally thought about going to the scenic spots, but I didn't expect that I couldn't go because of the road closure. But I had an unexpected gain, the town of Wentang after the snow was as quiet as Otaru, which was really a different flavor. The houses on both sides of the street were covered with snow, a vast expanse of white, like a world in a fairy tale. I walked around here, took some photos, and occasionally saw a few locals playing in the snow. Looking at their carefree appearance, I was also infected by this happy atmosphere. The hot springs here are also very distinctive. I tried it and felt warm and very comfortable. Coupled with the small town after the snow, it is simply a fairyland on earth! Soaking in the hot springs and enjoying the snow scene here is a rare enjoyment. Yichun, Yichun, when I come next time, I must go to see the scenic spots here, but remember to avoid rainy and snowy weather! Otherwise, if you miss this beautiful town and hot springs, it would be a pity. In general, although there were some minor episodes in this trip, I was still very happy and look forward to meeting the scenery here again next time!

⭐ Drove all the way from Shanghai, passing through Wuyuan, Jingdezhen, Lushan, and now we have arrived at Yichun. ⭐ Yichun is known as the capital of hot springs, and the most worthwhile places to visit are Mingyue Mountain and the surrounding ancient towns, where you can experience the hot spring health culture. We stayed in Wentang Town, which is filled with various inns and hotels of all sizes, offering a variety of hot spring baths. For accommodation, it's better to negotiate with the merchants upon arrival, as the prices are cheaper than online. The prices range from over 100 to thousands. We stayed at the Weiyunju Hotel Apartment, which has a few parking spaces at the entrance. If that's full, parking nearby is also very convenient. ⭐ There are many hot spring foot baths and foot massage services in Wentang Town, with a foot bath generally costing 20 yuan and a half-hour massage for 30 yuan. There are also various private baths available. ⭐ For dining, I recommend the Selenium Rice Restaurant, which has excellent service and delicious food in generous portions. However, the restaurant is very popular, so you need to queue up. You can get a number first, then stroll around for about half an hour before going to eat. ⭐ The first and second pictures were taken at the ancient city tower and pavilion in Wentang, recommended to visit after the lights are on in the evening for the best effect. ⭐ The third and fourth pictures are aerial views of the town for your reference. ⭐ Pictures five, six, and seven are of the wine culture museum around the town, which is very unique and suitable for taking photos. The key point is that there are no tourists, so you can take pictures freely, haha. ⭐ The eighth picture is on the mountain road to the surrounding Nanre Village, where you can encounter many such scenes. It's especially fun for children, who will be very happy to see them. The mountain roads are quite rugged and snowy, offering a lot of driving pleasure, but be careful when driving. ⭐ Pictures nine and ten are of Nanre Ancient Village, which is very quaint and primitive with few tourists. There are thousand-year-old trees, ancient houses, terraced fields, and you can also experience the joy of the villagers making New Year cakes. ⭐ Pictures eleven to sixteen are of the Mingyue Mountain Scenic Area, where the snow on the mountain is still quite impressive, and there are not many tourists, making it feel better than Lushan. ⭐ The last picture is an unexpected surprise, there is a freshly ground coffee cart on the Ancient Well Spring Street, where each cup of coffee is made with carefully selected beans and skilled techniques. Accidentally, I stepped into Yichun, a popular Spring Festival holiday destination this year. Yichun is famous for its selenium-rich hot springs, which seem to be a cure-all Wentai Town, with an ancient well built by the Southern Song Dynasty's Dingyuan Zen master as the core (Figure 5). The water temperature at the outlet is always between 68-72 degrees throughout the year, and the hot springs are directly connected to the homes of the surrounding residents. There are numerous restaurants and foot bath houses on Gujing Street, featuring selenium-rich elements, selenium rice, selenium water... Yichun doesn't have many attractions, and they are quite ordinary. I went to Wanzai Ancient City, Mingyue Mountain (there is a Moon Lake at an altitude of 1500 meters on the mountain, which seems to be a reservoir), and Nanre Ancient Village, but none of them were particularly stunning But it is indeed a good place for leisure and health preservation... During the Spring Festival, the 5-minute fireworks show at 20:00 every day on Gujingquan Street and Weijing Hot Springs attracted many tourists (there will be one every Saturday night on weekdays)
