The hotel is lovely, clean and cosy. It came with free bottles of water. It’s quiet so you can enjoy your peaceful sleep.
The front desk people were lovely and helpful right as I got to the front desk and assisted with the number of cab company as my flight was very early in the morning.
I don’t know if they have bell boys though (I didn’t ask, so had to struggle with getting my luggage from my room to the reception during check out).
I’ll definitely recommend this hotel.
The hotel's location is fantastic, very close to Terminal 4. The front desk staff were warm and professional. The room facilities were complete, clean, and tidy. The breakfast was rich and varied. Overall, a great experience, definitely a 5-star rating!
The hotel's biggest advantage is its proximity to the exhibition center. However, the drawbacks include a very high mirror in the bathroom, a high sink, and subpar toiletries. Additionally, the room layout is a bit odd. Overall, while not particularly expensive compared to London's high prices, the facilities are quite basic.
The location of this LSE accommodation is absolutely superb; it's very centrally located. There are two tube stations nearby, Blackfriars and Southwark, both just a 10 to 15-minute walk away. Bankside Pier is also a 10-minute walk, where you can catch an Uber Boat. Tate Modern Museum is right across the street, and behind the museum are the Thames riverside, Millennium Bridge, and St Paul's Cathedral, all within easy reach. Borough Market is also just a 10-minute walk away.
Considering the excellent location, a single room with a private bathroom at this price, including breakfast, offers unbeatable value for money. The breakfast is very generous, served from 7 AM to 9:30 AM, featuring sausages, fried eggs, bread, milk, yogurt, fruit, and more. Furthermore, the accommodation is quite clean, and the room was spotless. The front desk staff handling check-in and check-out were all very pleasant; while not overtly enthusiastic like hotel staff, their demeanor was perfectly professional and helpful.
Regarding the facilities, I booked a single room, but the one I was given actually had two beds, which made the room feel quite cramped. The room had a great view, with a direct view of The Shard. The building itself appears to be quite old, with many dated aspects. For instance, there are many rooms on one floor (over 40), and the corridors are a maze of twists and turns with numerous fire doors, making it feel like a labyrinth. The windows open upwards, requiring you to stand on a chair to open or close them. There's absolutely no soundproofing for the plumbing; you can hear a very loud gushing sound from the pipes whenever someone in an adjacent room uses water. (Thankfully, my neighbors in the two adjacent rooms were very considerate, rarely using water between 11 PM and 8 AM, and when they did, the sound was minimal, suggesting they used a very low flow).
As a former international student in the UK who lived in university dorms for many years, I am perfectly accustomed to small rooms and basic amenities (a kettle, cups, tea bags, soap, shampoo, shower gel, and bath towel are provided, but no hairdryer or fan). However, honestly, the pipe noise was a bit beyond what I expected. Other points of concern for me were: 1. The accommodation hosts hundreds of guests across all age groups, which led to significant queues for breakfast when I went down at 8 AM. 2. The bathroom had a very strong, pungent smell – I couldn't tell if it was disinfectant or fresh paint – which persisted for two days even with the window open constantly. I regretted not asking for a room change on the first day. 3. On my floor, one of the communal kitchens was locked, meaning over forty rooms on that entire floor had to share a single kitchen. I hadn't encountered these specific issues when staying in other university accommodations, which made them a bit bothersome.
However, if these particular points aren't a major concern for you, then this place absolutely stands out as an excellent, high-value accommodation option.
We’ve stayed at the Courtyard by Marriott London City Airport multiple times now, and it’s always a place we look forward to returning to.
The rooms are consistently spacious, with a large bathroom that adds to the comfort of the stay. Everything is always very clean and well-maintained, which we really appreciate. The location is also a big plus — being so close to both the airport and the DLR makes it incredibly convenient, especially for travel.
Check-in is always smooth, with friendly and helpful staff who make the process quick and welcoming.
Breakfast is another highlight, offering good quality food and a wide variety of options to choose from, which sets you up well for the day.
Overall, it’s a reliable and comfortable hotel that we’re always happy to come back to.
I arrived early to the hotel and asked if there was any possibility I could check in early?
The staff couldn’t have been more helpful and fortunately there was room ready so I checked and had a wonderful breakfast and enjoyed the facilities over two days. I particularly enjoyed the gym, the pool and the sauna.
I was attending an event at the Excel Arena so location could not have been better.
Thank you to the staff for wonderful service
I've stayed here several times, and as expected from a brand-name hotel, the service and facilities are excellent in all respects. The environment is lovely, and being in Terminal 4 makes it very convenient for catching flights. There's also a free shuttle to T2 and T3.
The hotel had a great location and was very clean and well kept. View was really nice. The room quality was also really good.
The only downside was the amenities — even just providing bottled water in the room would make a big difference, since not everyone wants to drink tap water. I had to go out and buy water, which was a bit inconvenient. At breakfast, the eggs were served next to the bacon, so they seemed contaminated and weren’t really suitable for vegetarians or anyone avoiding bacon.
I stayed in room 302 in March 2026 for 1 night. I chose this hotel because I stayed there before and I was very impressed. This time I was given the same room again, I liked the room. It has a large comfy bed and a nice clean bathroom. The breakfast was really good as I like vegetables and they do great omelettes and fresh vegetables. The reception staff are very kind and helpful during my visit and remembered me from the last time I stayed. The hotel is in very easy access to the underground. On this visit the Elizabeth line was closed and I had to get a bus to agents Hill. This was very easy. There are plenty of places to eat around the hotel including an all you can eat from £11.99. I always have a good Stay at this hotel. There is a kettle with plenty of T and coffee. Some people staying on my floor were very noisy but that was all I can criticise really as it wasn’t the hotels fault. Very kind staff. There is a decent TV in the room and plenty of towels. During this trip and overnight stay I visited the Ramses exhibition at Battersea and images are included in this feedback. A good hotel to stay in that’s great value just outside central London about 20 mins on train.

GGuest UserAmazing location, amazing service. It was my birthday and the room was decorated beautifully with complimentary drink and chocolate. Could not have asked for more. The only negative was the room was extremely hot which made is very uncomfortable to sleep. On the second night spoke to front desk and they advised to turn all air con/heating off and brought us a fan up so the second night slept like a baby in very comfortable beds. The pool area was beautiful but u fortunately we ran out of time but when we have another stay at the beautiful hotel we will certainly visit it.
GGuest UserIt is a proper old-style purpose-built hotel, with 12 floors, large lobby and corridors and other relaxation, dining (Chinese restaurant, Irish pub, café) and entertainment areas (tea room), many lifts. The Superior room (an upgrade offered by reception from Stabdard for £10) was spacious and had nice panoramic views towards Albert Hall and BT tower. It was, however, on the train track facing side of the building. The tube may be audible from lower rooms, and such rooms probably have the view obstructed by surrounding tower buildings, but on the 9th floor the train noise was not intrusive, and trains do not run at night. It may also be down to the external soundproofing. The internal soundproofing is not as good, in fact around midnight I could hear a group talk and laugh. I used a higher air conditioning volume for white noise and it was not a massive problem. The bathroom could be revamped (the grout could be revived, silicone reapplied), but there was nothing to detract from the overall enjoyable experience. Good shower pressure and temperature, toiletries included conditioner. Convenient USB port for charging.
GGuest UserThe room was clean and the environment was comfortable, highly recommended. Overall, the experience was great, and it's not far from the city center, so it's definitely worth recommending. The front desk service was also very enthusiastic, making for an excellent experience.
MM.AshalThe reception team were friendly at check in, and I was given a beautiful tin of truffles and some drinks vouchers (maybe as a diamond member?). This was really a special touch and appreciated.
However the room itself wasn’t great. I’ve stayed in quite a few London hotels so know you don’t get lots of space and for 1 night you don’t need much, but this room was so small it was a struggle to move about.
The air conditioning was on but it was weak. Thankfully the window opened slightly but it remained warm in the room.
Bathroom was dated, quite small and felt cheap.
Minor point but the pillows and duvet didn’t feel like the usual Hilton ones, they seemed thicker…
Overall, it was clean, relatively quiet and had great service which is all that’s really needed, but it felt more of a budget hotel with Hilton price tag.
I do think they are doing everything they can to make stays as good as possible, since they can’t really do anything about the room sizes.

TTravel around the world FannySo far so good
Price in London is reasonable
Hotel parking need to be paid but so common in London £15 per day
Room not bad at least clean
Very close to station
Staff always too busy need to wait for like 15-30mins to ask them
For help
GGudemaolinMy stay at this hotel was absolutely delightful. From the moment I stepped into the lobby, I felt a sense of warmth and comfort. The front desk staff were incredibly friendly, and the check-in process was quick and efficient. They even thoughtfully provided recommendations for nearby restaurants and attractions. The room itself was spotless and spacious, with a soft and comfortable bed and fresh, clean linens, ensuring a great night's sleep. The bathroom was fully equipped with plenty of hot water and all the necessary toiletries, which was very reassuring. The hotel's breakfast offered a wide variety of options, both Chinese and Western, and everything was delicious, catering to different tastes. The overall environment was quiet and elegant, perfect for relaxation or business travel. What truly stood out to me was the professional and attentive service team. Whether it was bringing water, cleaning the room, or answering questions, I felt valued and cared for. I was extremely satisfied with this stay and will definitely choose this hotel again when I return to the city. I would also highly recommend it to friends and family.
GGuest UserHad a lovely stay at Millennium Hotel. The location is perfect, easy to get around from here, and our room was spotlessly clean. The reception and concierge staff stood out. They were genuinely kind, welcoming, and very clear when giving directions, which made navigating the area effortless.
The one drawback is that the rooms aren’t particularly well soundproofed, so you do hear a fair bit from the corridor and neighbouring rooms. Something to be aware of if you’re a light sleeper.
Overall, a solid choice and I’d happily return.
GGuest UserThe hotel was overall very central and absolutely wonderful. Breakfast was included and featured a full English breakfast, along with a variety of additional options to suit everyone’s tastes. We were very satisfied with our stay. Thanks to the hotel’s central location, we hardly needed to use the metro and were able to walk everywhere, which made our experience even better. It was truly amazing. All the staff at the hotel were friendly, welcoming, and very understanding. We would like to sincerely thank them for everything.
RRafsana ChoudhuryCheck in experience is very chaotic. Full booking details were missing in hotel system. I.e. number of child or adult guests, number of breakfasts paid for, etc. Prepare for gbp50 deposit per room.
Room was nice with two double beds and pretty view of IFS Cloud cable cars. Location is beautiful. Local trains and buses provide easy access to all of east London. Complicated parking. Driving here is not recommended, like most of London, unfortunately.
Local dining options are expensive. Breakfast is beans on toast and repetitive every single morning. No salads prepared. Busy and chaotic dining room almost every morning. Recommend poached eggs.
Service is an area this hotel really needs to improve. Especially concierge. No help with suitcases and bags. Staff won't even bring a bucket of nice to the rooms. Guests must bring buckets from the room to the bar to collect ice cubes. Not well suited for Muslim guests. No ladies only timings in the Spa facilities. Also overpriced. Local beauty salons in Upton Park are much more affordable and comprehensive.
Overall, an nice, clean, safe hotel, but not good value for money.
