The Old Farm House

Eric and Barbara were the perfect hosts. They were extremely friendly and they made us feel at home. They couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful and they went out of their way to make our stay especially pleasant. They were a fountain of knowledge and gave us excellent advice on things to see and where to eat. The service was first class and the facilities were also excellent. The food was outstanding and very plentiful. We have no reservations in strongly recommending them to our family and friends and will certainly stay there again if we return to this part of the country. Thank you again for a great stay and we hope Barbara’s back gets better soon. Fond regards, John and Sandra.
Slaley Hall Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort

We arrived early and our room was ready. The spa facilities were adequate. Only comment is some update needed to the rock effect around the pool. The food in the Clarets jug was fine. Dessert bit disappointing. The staff very friendly and Neville not sure his title but was a perfect gentleman. He transported our luggage to and from our bedroom with no effort. Neville was very polite and friendly. Hope to see him next time we visit.
Holiday Inn Newcastle - Gosforth Park
4.3/5108 Reviews
The hotel is new, spacious and well equipped. There is a children's activity area in the hall where children can read and play, and older children can also play table football. The hotel also offers dinner, and there is a bar for drinks. The room is very spacious. Most of the holiday family rooms booked during the trip are in the same condition. This room is the most spacious. The sofa bed is still spacious and comfortable. If you are traveling with children passing by here, living here is very suitable.
The Castle Hotel

Located on edge of town next to railway station. Nice hotel with friendly staff. A really nice bar to have drinks in. Breakfast area ticks all the boxes, nicely cooked. . 👍🏻 Rooms are clean with tea/coffee facilities and complimentary bottles of water. The room floor slopes slightly which caused a few 'staggers' Defo go back.
White Swan Hotel

The seats are very good, very close to the castle, also in the city center, very close to the Morrison supermarket. There is a free parking lot, just turn left for two consecutive times, see the hotel name written on the white sign on the left, and then turn left. The aunt at the front desk has taught in China and also has grandsons of mixed Chinese and English, so I see Chinese people are particularly enthusiastic, the hotel restaurant is great, breakfast is a combination of buffet and order, which is relatively high-end. But the room is a bit old.
Doxford Hall Hotel and Spa

Fantastic stay at Doxford. Grounds are beautiful. Spa facilities very good. Breakfast generous and great quality. Spa bath in room deliberately disabled in all rooms which isn't ideal.
Manor House Hotel Holy Island
4.1/541 Reviews
Overall was a good one night stay. But £140 for a double room with a bed you could feel the springs and small very dated room and tiny bathroom I feel was overpriced but I guess it’s the area. The friendliness of the staff made up for the disappointment in the room. Good breakfast.
Quarrie House
4.1/525 Reviews
Nice place. Clean enough but damp growing up the walls. Comfortable beds. Wifi code could be explained better. Room very hot, had to open the windows and we heard lots of noise and screaming from the local pubs. TV is complicated to use. Manual could be handy.
