Our initial triple room was incredibly cramped, but the double room we moved to later had a normal, comfortable amount of space. The hotel's location is absolutely superb; it makes getting around incredibly convenient. The hotel occupies floors nine and above, with a shopping mall and restaurants on the floors below (up to the eighth floor). Getting here is very straightforward: take the airport bus to Osaka Station, and it's just around the corner in the direction the bus was heading. The transportation links are truly excellent. Breakfast was plentiful and varied.

Pros: Excellent location. Walk to many tourist place and convinient.
Cons / Experience: Before arriving in Osaka, I emailed Holiday Inn to inform them that due to personal reasons can see ghost, I could not stay in rooms located directly next to the lift or at the very end of the corridor. However, on the first day, the hotel still assigned me a room right next to the lift. Although the room appeared clean, it was very dusty, had bugs, and the room remained shining throughout the night, which made it difficult for me to sleep. The insects bug on bed also caused skin irritation.
Fortunately, the young male receptionist was very polite and attentive, and he helped me change to another room. Unfortunately, the new room still had bugs on the bed and was also dusty.
This hotel may be more suitable for men who enjoy nightlife, as there are pubs nearby, some with women dressed in revealing outfits to attract customers. On the other hand, the older male receptionist seemed unfriendly and unwelcoming, often showing a “black face.”
The hotel boasts an excellent location! It's the first hotel right outside the subway station, incredibly close and convenient to Universal Studios. There's a 24-hour Lawson convenience store downstairs, and direct shuttle buses to the airport are available. The front desk also provides amenities for children, such as slippers, toothbrushes, and pajamas. Compared to hotels in Umeda, it offers much better value for money; for the same price, this hotel feels significantly more spacious and cleaner. I would definitely stay here again!
However, the service was quite subpar, almost non-existent. Both luggage storage and check-out are self-service. Housekeeping started ringing our doorbell to clean at 9 AM, then again at 10 AM, which felt very rushed and intrusive. Additionally, during check-in, absolutely no information was provided; it was just a quick, impersonal process.

Transportation: Extremely convenient! It's located directly above Namba Station, and there's a bus terminal nearby offering direct airport shuttle buses to both Kansai Airport (KIX) and Itami Airport (ITM).
Cleanliness: As is typical for Japanese hotels, it was absolutely spotless and impeccable.
Service: The front desk staff were very warm and welcoming.
Cons: The lighting in the room was a bit too dim. Furthermore, I was assigned a room with a completely obstructed view by another building – there was absolutely no scenery from the window, just the building directly across. Another minor inconvenience was that the front desk is located on the 22nd floor, which meant I had to transfer elevators every time I entered or exited the hotel.
The location is absolutely perfect, with direct subway access downstairs and Daimaru and Parco department stores just across the street, making shopping and dining incredibly convenient. Dotonbori is also only a few minutes' walk away. However, the location is really its only redeeming quality. The rooms and facilities are extremely dated. There's very limited space to hang clothes, and the design clearly hasn't been updated in a very long time. Staying here was uncomfortable; it's really just a makeshift place to crash for the night.

The location is excellent and very convenient. There are numerous public transport lines within a few minutes' walk. After landing in Osaka, you can take a direct bus that drops you off near the hotel, and it's just a short walk from there – I found this much more convenient than taking the JR line. The bus to the airport also departs from the same spot.
Additionally, the hotel has smoking rooms on several floors, which was very helpful for guests.
Just a few steps downstairs from the hotel, there's a 7-Eleven and a FamilyMart convenience store. In the evenings, we could pick up some onigiri and sandwiches, keep them in the hotel fridge, and then easily heat them up in the hotel lobby microwave for breakfast the next morning.
Overall, everything was great, with just one minor point: given that about 80-90% of the guests in the entire hotel are Chinese, couldn't the front desk staff include at least two Chinese-speaking employees?
I don’t usually use my home country number because I work overseas so I have a hard time remembering it and took a while before I input it in the system. We do the check in on our own using the machine but one staff shoo my hand away from the machine and he did the checking in for me. Rude but he still gave us extra towels and told us about the airport shuttle service. But still it’s rude to do that gesture. Just an ordinary facility, common to Japan. Close to the airport plus the shuttle service to it is a okay

My room was on the 12th floor. I had specifically requested a quiet, high-floor room in my booking notes, and the hotel kindly accommodated my request. The hotel's location is excellent, situated approximately 500 meters between two subway stations. Shinsaibashi is also a very short walk, about 500 meters, and Dotonbori is incredibly close, just around 350 meters away. Access to Kansai International Airport (KIX) is convenient via the airport limousine bus. The breakfast was quite satisfying; I particularly enjoyed the plain congee, pickled vegetables, and marinated fish – a truly nice offering. Nearby, there's a Family Mart convenience store and a local supermarket.
**Environment:** The hotel was clean and tidy, ensuring a very convenient and pleasant stay.
**Service:** The service was excellent, and they also offered convenient luggage storage.
Nice Hotel, a bit isolated, but beside a small train station that connects to the city centre in about half an hour. Room small but clean. Breakfast with good selection, especially for cakes and other sweets.
Staff kind, but sometimes a bit hasty.
Universal Studio within 15 minutes walk.

Rooms in Japan are notoriously small, but this one was spotlessly clean. The hotel's shampoo was excellent and had a lovely scent. They also thoughtfully provided complimentary DHC samples every day. Free coffee and tea were also available. However, be aware that the 11 AM check-out time is strictly enforced, with no flexibility. On the downside, the hotel's Wi-Fi was very poor. On the other hand, its proximity to Shinsaibashi shopping street was a huge plus, and I found myself exploring it daily.

潘潘lucienWe were fortunate to book a hotel right in front of Universal Studios for this trip with our kids. The location is perfect — just a 3-minute walk to the park, with a Starbucks and Lawson right outside and plenty of dining options nearby. Although it was crowded due to summer holidays, the hotel had everything we needed and is ideal for families with young children. The room was very clean, with no unpleasant odors or smoke smell. There are also washing machines, dryers, water dispensers, and an ice machine available. Staying at a hotel so close to the park made our trip truly enjoyable!
MMengmengmamaChoosing InterContinental Osaka was hands down the smartest decision I made!
The location is absolutely phenomenal! A shopper's paradise! Major malls and flagship stores are right downstairs, making it incredibly convenient to get all your favorite items in one go!
The rooms are incredibly spacious! In Japan, where space is a premium, the InterContinental's rooms feel like a true luxury. We booked a king room and even added an extra bed, and it still didn't feel cramped at all! The bathroom was also large and bright, and being able to lie down and gaze at Osaka's vibrant cityscape made it absolutely worth it!
The service was exceptionally thoughtful! From check-in to check-out, every single staff member was polite, attentive, and incredibly detail-oriented. The front desk, housekeeping, concierge... even the parking and luggage storage services were absolutely faultless!
When checking out, they even proactively offered to weigh my luggage. The most delightful surprise was when a staff member wished me ”Gong Xi Fa Cai” in Chinese – it felt so incredibly welcoming!
It truly proved to be a brilliant choice to stay at InterContinental Osaka! Next time I'm in Osaka, I'm definitely booking this place again!

GGuest UserI stayed at this hotel for the second time and was impressed by its consistent quality. The room was spotlessly clean, and Sexually transmitted infection: and well-equipped with modern facilities, ensuring a comfortable stay. The location is highly convenient, with easy access to nearby attractions and transport. The staff were courteous and attentive, providing excellent service throughout my visit. My only complaint is that the milk vending machine was frequently out of stock, which was a minor inconvenience. Overall, the hotel offers a pleasant and reliable experience, making it a great choice for travelers. I would definitely consider returning for future stays.
GGuest UserThis is the most beautiful and biggest hotel I stayed for this time travelled to Japan. May be because it is a suite so the room is so big and sea view and the beds are so comfortable. Walking distance to shopping mall and Rinku outlet. Unfortunately my flight was too early, no chance to try their breakfast. Hopefully can stay again next time.

TThao Truong UkGood location if you want to catch the flight. There is a town near to the hotel where are a lot of restaurants and shops which you can do any last minute shopping. Breakfast looks good but we did not have time to try that as our flight were early in the morning, but definitely recommend it too. There is a shuttle bus from the hotel to the airport, but make sure you book it in advance ( via online or at reception). There is also a shuttle bus to Aeon mall which is free if you want to use. I will stay there again for sure!
DDesignYourLifeTips❤️Very close to Bentencho train station. A lot of good izakaya restaurants and convenience store surrounding that area. Most importantly, is just a few minutes train to Universal Studio Japan. Very comfortable and clean stay, staff is friendly and helpful. Defintely recommend this for business travel or leisure.
PPYHRI had a pleasant stay here. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout my visit. The room were big and the beds were awesome! What I love is they had a shoes dryer which is so helpful. The location was convenient, and overall, I enjoyed the experience. Would consider staying here again!
GGuest UserGood location, it is 8-10 minutes walk from shin-Osaka station if you ride Shinkansen, 6 minutes walk to the subway station to ride Midosuji line, there are quite a few eateries and convenient stores round the hotel, but there are things that l don’t like about is check out time at 10:00 am, it is a little early compare to most hotels offer at 11:00 am, and lobby full of guest’s luggage’s, not enough space for sitting and relaxing.
