Self-driving passing by very late bed. Very good location and scenery. Very suitable for backpackers, but there is a car to facilitate. The public space is large and the kitchen is very good. The foot smell of the bed bedroom is too big. It is estimated that they are all hiking and cycling. 🤣 But don't pick this price.

We had a great stay! Front desk was friendly and helpful. The rooms and the place was clean. We arrived at the start of winter season, not too many guests so we had the place almost to ourselves. The amenities was great, they had a lot of DVDs for entertainment, and the common kitchen was clean and well maintained. We also ate at the cafe which was delicious. The location was walking distance to the groceries, the tourist information center and other eateries. Overall a great stay!

It is the ultra accommodating service that makes this place stand out. It turned out that I’d booked the wrong kind of room for my needs, and there was a very quick, willing solution found at no extra cost. I would stay again because I know I’d be well looked after.

Good distance to mountain. Quiet room would have liked a kitchen sink plus plates /bowls maybe they provide in other rooms. Restaurant had great service friendly staff and good food .Plus cozy fire

It's a really great place, comfy and cozy. The little veranda was cold in the morning but with the curtains, we didn't feel it at all in the room. As our room was more at the back and not so close to the road, we also didn't hear the traffic at all. Really nice accommodation.

We enjoyed our one night stay. It was easy to locate the hotel. The front desk manager was courteous and friendly and helpful. The hotel room was cozy, clean and spacious. We had a nice view of Palmy from the hotel room. There was an AC, a mini fridge, hot water, kettle, coffee, black tea, flavoured tea, milk and sugar available in the room. Unfortunately, you have to bring your own bottle of water, toothbrush & toothpaste. No hairdryer. Very comfortable bed & mattress. There's also a gymnastic and laundry facility available. Parking facility was available for the hotel's customers. Pak n Save was just across the street. There was also Burger King, Thai restaurants, a pub and some other eating spot nearby. There was breakfast and dinner available upon purchase at the hotel. Part of the hotel is under renovation. We reached there in the late afternoon and left around 10 a.m so most probably, this could be the reason we didn't hear any noise. We really wish we could stay more than a night and get the chance to explore Palmy a bit more.

The accommodation was surprisingly good for the price and location. The receptionist was very accommodating and waited for me until I arrived before she called it a day. I liked the common bathroom outside the main house as it was really warm and spacious.

Great hosts, upgraded us to a very spacious unit with our own laundry which was much appreciated after a week on the road. Very clean, comfortable and quiet. I took Neil's advice and went for a walk around the nearby gardens and finished with an icecream from the service station. Fabulous! Would definitely stay again.

It was spacious and comfortable enough for a family of 3-4 to stay together. The cooking facilities are well equipped, so it is convenient. Clean and comfortable bedding. Good Wi-Fi as well. If you ever need to stay in Palmerston North, Fitzroy Motel is a great choice.

Absolutely perfect for what I needed..Bed was comfortable, room had everything I needed, hot tub was amazing! And the owner is so helpful and friendly Woukd definitely recommend and will be back next time Thank you
