No matter the environment and service are absolutely first-class, it is especially suitable for special planes, and the pick-up service is also very considerate. We needed medical services during our trip, and the hotel also helped to contact medical institutions. The whole process exceeded our expectations.

I had dinner at the hotel and I did not realize that the waitress made a mistake and charged my credit card in US dollars instead of 33.990 TZ shillings. An hour later, the waitress knocked my door and told me about the mistake and that they would reverse the transaction in the morning. It took the hotel 2 days to sort that out with their bank (NMB Bank). I spent about US$500 on international phone calls with my bank in SA so that they undersand the problem and help me solve it. After a long struggle, I got my money back after 25 days. I am writing this to alert tourists who visit Tz. Please look at the credit card machine to ensure that the correct currency is being charged before pressing the buttons. Scrutinize the receipts that you get and keep them until you get home. Regardless of the nerve-racking experience that I had, I would like to thank the Kibo Palace Hotel administration and staff for their honesy (admitting the error) and for the great efforts they put forth to ensure thae reversal of the reve money as they had no experience with this issue before. Everybody at the hotel was sympathetic and very supportive. Every now and then they contacted me to see if I got the money or not. My advice to the hotel is to train their staff especially waitresses/waiters in using payment machines, and even improving their English to avoid such mistakes and hastles. I wish the accountant tooke me with her to the bank so that I know exactly what is going on so that I give solutions or ask my bank for solutions. if I come back to Moshi, I would definitely stay at the Kibo Palce Hotel and enjoy Mt Kilimanjaro views.

I don't think there is such a good hotel. The room is very clean and there is also a mosquito net. The room that is not used is ventilated every day. I was able to eat breakfast and night rice on the roof and it was delicious. I was able to relax on the rooftop without any business and healed because I could see Kilimanjaro. Above all, the staff was very kind. It was cheap from the hotel, and there was a bus to Dodoma and a pick-up service to the bus stop. The coffee tour was also prepared for about $ 35, and it was a very affordable tour, such as having lunch boxes and water, hiking to the village waterfall. I always cared about us and presented the price sincerely, and I found that it was not for money. He was a person who could hear a delicious restaurant nearby and consult anything. Please use it when you come to Moshi.

I arrived at The Better Inn Hostel on September 1st. & plan to remain here indefinitely due to the outstanding quality of this environment! Amos Lufumbilo, The Managing Director who is a man of the utmost integrity & his wonderful Assistant, Issa Hamisi facilitate this spectacular Hostel & also offer many tours at highly reasonable prices! I was first greeted at the gate by Borealis, a most friendly employee who’s BEST attribute is her attention to Customer Service & superb efficiency assisting Tourists with anything imaginable! The sensational Chef, Danny has attended school specifically for preparing gourmet meals ranging from their complimentary Breakfast to a varied menu for lunch & dinner = quite impressive! Moses is a superb Gardener as well as maintaining the Hostel Compounds exquisite grounds! He also assists with Housekeeping Duties & if needed helps in the kitchen! Noela, prides herself in keeping immaculately clean Guest Rooms & full bathrooms with flush toilets, hot showers & a sink area. The mosquito nets are carefully draped like a canopy over each King Sized Bed with white sheets, pillows & a cozy blanket. A plush towel is provided daily or as often as a Guest chooses! Noela is also available to wash Guests clothing for a very reasonable rate. There is also a comfortable 2-seater settee to enjoy reading, writing, etc. & a nice sized end table to accommodate Tourists various belongings + hooks on the back of the door to hang clothing. The four thatched Huts provide areas to relax, read or converse with other Guests. The biggest Hut has a Bar Area with a variety of cold soft drinks, & beer, a big kitchen, 2 large dining tables complete with table cloths & a lovely sitting area with a large flat screen T.V. So far, I have gone on a fun Bike Tour in a beautiful Sugarcane Plantation with my own personal guide, an incredible weekend at The Osillgilai Maasai Lodge, a booked week in Zanzibar with an ocean front Bungalow for Christmas & an upcoming Safari being planned! My main goal for staying in the Moshi area for a year is to volunteer teach in various schools, to observe watching students in action in other schools & assisting in an Orphanage. In terms of school highlights “The Faraja School” + Boarding Home to 100 severely Physically Challenged students from age 7 to 18 was a monumental experience! I was personally driven the two hour distance each way by Issa in Amos’ vehicle = YES Guests are treated like royalty!. It is an honor to be a Guest here & I feel quite blessed! There are very few Chinese people here, so let me leave a comment. Don't have extravagant hopes for the Youth Hostel, it's a place to live. Single room, mosquito net, clean quilt, toilet and tap water. But need to bring a conversion plug. But the square dance outside is still loud but I don't mind.

GGuest User

AAnnaVery nice hotel. It's kind of located in the middle of the market, so if you don't like any noise, maybe it's not the best choice for you. For me the market was a plus, I like those. And: *the place is very clean *you can really see Kilimanjaro, even if you don't have a view from your room, you can always go to the rooftop and enjoy it from there *you can have you meals at the rooftop *the staff it AMAZING, they are very nice and helpful *the location is pretty convenient

GGuest UserI stayed 2 nights at this hotel in December 2020, and my stay was nothing short of excellent. The owners were very nice and very accommodating when I needed to adjust my booking last minute due to COVID19. The entire hotel is pristinely clean. The clear attention to detail when it comes to decor, and amenities was noted and elevated the entire experience. The pool, and lounge area has the most incredible views or the region and Kilimanjaro. The food was excellent, freshly prepared for each order, and the portions extremely generous! My partner and I also received massages in their newly built spa hut which was the perfect atmosphere and an excellent massage, HIGHLY recommend! I cannot boast enough about how wonderful this hotel, owners and staff are. Definitely worth a stay if you are in the Moshi area. I certainly will be planning to return. Thank you for a great stay!!
