this hotel is good overall, but when we arrived, they told us that we didn't have a booking with them and they couldn't locate our booking and details. the room was also said to be taken, and they are waiting for a cancellation in order to get our room. There is a lot of confusion among staff. some visitors were told to leave their rooms once they have entered. we waiting 1 hr 30 min to get our room. so check in was at 4.30pm. parking was also very inconvenient, as we had to park at the basement, which was impossible to even get one if you came into the hotel late and a T&G card was also needed to get validated before leaving the hotel if we wanted a free spot. Room was very spacious and clean. the tea and coffee was hard like its never been changed.

The location is quite convenient. They upgraded me to a family room, even though I didn't really need it as I was traveling alone. What I don't understand is why the shower dispenser had lotion instead of conditioner; that needs improvement. Breakfast was very rich and there was plenty to eat: bread, noodles, chicken, fish, vegetables, fried rice, coffee, and juice.

I had a wonderful stay. The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help. The location was convenient, with easy access to nearby attractions and restaurants. The breakfast offered a good variety and tasted great. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel and would happily stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay at Lone Pine Penang! Everything was great from start to finish. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable, the hotel was beautiful, and the location was perfect. The staff were very friendly, helpful and welcoming. We really enjoyed the facilities, the ambience and especially the beautiful beachfront view. Everything was well taken care of and made our stay truly relaxing and enjoyable. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and would definitely recommend Lone Pine Penang. We’ll definitely come back again!

The room was really unique and interesting, an experience I'd never had before. The location is excellent too; you can walk to all the nearby photo-op spots, and the closest restaurants are all delicious. Walking to Clan Jetties is also no problem. The free bus stop is just across the street, which is super convenient. I highly recommend staying here for both the ambiance and location. The Indian staff members at the hotel were all very friendly and would greet us proactively. We arrived at the hotel around 12 PM, right after our flight. One of the staff members said we could check-in early at 1:30 PM, so we left our luggage at the front desk and went out for lunch, thinking we could come back, change, and head out for some sightseeing and photos. However, when we returned at the appointed time, a different female staff member told us we couldn't check in until 2:30 PM. I simply mentioned that I was previously told we could check in at 1:30 PM, and she immediately became upset, telling me not to pressure or rush her. To accommodate her mood, my family of three quietly sat with her in the lobby for half an hour. After that, she simply announced that it was time to check in, without having received any calls or anything – it was just the scheduled time. All the other staff members at this hotel were very enthusiastic, but she was always unhappy and gave us a cold shoulder whenever we saw her. I hope she can find some happiness. I understand that the official check-in time is 3 PM. I was just trying to discuss an earlier check-in. If I had been told from the start that early check-in wasn't possible, I would have taken a taxi to a more distant area to explore and returned later. Travel time is limited, and I want to plan my trips more efficiently, not waste time waiting in a hotel lobby to check in. I'm not here to accompany her at work, and I hope she can be more professional and consider the needs of travelers. I really hope other guests staying here don't encounter her; everything else was perfect.

We had a sea view unit. The master room had a baby cot and the other room had 1 queen and 1 single with two extra mattresses and a futon bed in the sitting area.

I had a truly satisfying experience. First, let's talk about the location. There's a night market right downstairs. For breakfast, there's an excellent coffee shop nearby that serves Kaya toast and local specialties at reasonable prices – perfect for a morning meal. The night market offers a great variety of local food options for dinner, which is a fantastic experience. The hotel is also conveniently located for exploring all the attractions in George Town, whether you choose to walk or take a Grab. Now, a special mention for the hotel itself. Everything from the ambiance, room layout, and especially the concierge service and the professionalism of the staff, was outstanding. Although the rooms show their age, they are incredibly clean, well-maintained, and smartly designed. It was a wonderful experience overall, and I highly recommend booking here. If I visit Penang again, I will definitely stay at this hotel. Many thanks to the hotel for their thoughtful, attentive, and professional service!

Had a really lovely stay at Angsana Hotel for our honeymoon! ❤️ The staff were all so friendly and welcoming, which made us feel really comfortable throughout our stay. The room was beautiful, clean, and cosy — exactly what we needed for a relaxing honeymoon. We also requested a little honeymoon setup, and they actually prepared it for us. We were so happy and really appreciated the effort! 🥰 It made our stay feel extra special. Overall, everything was great and definitely worth the money. My second time in this hotel and never disappoints. Room is extra large, quiet and comfortable. Hotel is somewhat a 90's time tunnel but still evergreen , well maintained. Onsite car park is not free and quite costly, had to park somewhere nearby and walk towards it. Few eateries located opposite the hotel, more can be found further away but not within short walking distance.

I previously celebrated my wife’s birthday here with the newlywed couple, and my son still remembers his experiences at the kids’ pool and kids’ club. Because of those wonderful memories, the newlywed couple themselves chose this resort for their stay to celebrate the beginning of their marriage. I personally contacted the Reservation Team by email with a simple request for a few thoughtful touches to make their stay more memorable. My sincere thanks to Reservation Manager Ms Leow Lee Fong for arranging the thoughtful touches, including a stalk of flowers, pralines and a beautiful swan towel arrangement in the room. My appreciation also goes to Reservation Supervisor Ms Nurul Hazwani and Ms Maniarasiy for their assistance in coordinating the arrangements. A special thank you to the receptionist for making their arrival smooth and welcoming, and to Mr Faris from the Bell Team for his kindness and assistance. The flowers planned for their arrival could not be provided as arranged, but I completely understand that such things can happen when arrangements involve different teams. There was no issue from my side, and I truly appreciated the team’s effort to make their stay special in other ways. Thank you also to the Housekeeping Team for preparing the room and having it ready when the couple arrived at around 2.30 pm. The couple shared that the room was clean and comfortable, with an unobstructed sea view that made their stay even more enjoyable. From my own experiences with PARKROYAL, both in Penang and at other destinations, I have always found the service genuinely warm and welcoming. In my opinion, PARKROYAL Penang Resort is a wonderful choice for special occasions and stays, with a beautiful resort setting, lovely sea views, good swimming pools for both adults and children, enjoyable food and an excellent breakfast.
