Hotels With Spa in Varna Province, Bulgaria

This is one of the most beautiful hotels we've ever stayed at. The room was spacious and modern, the spa was fantastic, and the exterior pools and gardens were equally impressive. Everything was spotless, and we appreciated the attention to cleanliness. We also found the price reasonable, though it was off-season. However, there were several disappointments that took away from the overall experience. Starting with the restaurant: it was crowded, with long queues and very basic food options. At times, the food was even undercooked, which raised health concerns. This made dining stressful rather than enjoyable. Additionally, we noticed some guests were inconsiderate and even smoked in their rooms, causing the hallways to smell unpleasant. At one point, smoke even reached our bathroom from another room, and though we complained to the reception, the only response was to spray an air freshener. This lack of enforcement around the ”no smoking” policy was frustrating, especially for a wellness-oriented hotel. The hotel staff also permitted guests to reserve beach chairs with towels, making it difficult to find seating. This seemed unregulated and added to the sense of disorganization. For children, evening entertainment options were practically non-existent. There is a small playroom, but with limited games, it felt overcrowded and insufficient for the number of children. Furthermore, the cost for charging electric vehicles was the highest we've encountered, making it feel unreasonable. The thermal house nearby was a decent experience, though I recommend bringing your own towels and bathrobes from the hotel. Despite asking prior at the reception, we were told they would be provided there but we found out when getting there that we had to pay extra. Finally, the WiFi was poor, and although there was a Smart TV in the room, it wasn’t connected to the internet, limiting its use. Overall, we don’t plan to return. If management continues to tolerate inconsiderate behavior and doesn’t improve service quality, it risks alienating guests who value a more respectful and pleasant environment.

We stayed for 5 nights and our first impressions of the hotel were great. The lady on reception was friendly and professional and we were asked if we wanted help with our luggage. We had booked a deluxe double and it was on the 8th floor. The first thing that wowed us was the view !! It was stunning. Spectacular views over the Sea Garden and Tge Black Sea. We were impressed with the size of the room. The bathroom had a bath and a separate walk in shower. There was plenty of storage in the walk in wardrobe. There were robes and slippers and a range of tea and coffee. We didn't use the mini bar but it had a good range of products. We did get a bottle of water replenished each day. My daughter and I used the swimming pool most days which we enjoyed. Breakfast was good although I'd have liked the option of breakfast cereal but even without there was enough choice. The location was perfect, right opposite the Sea Garden and only a short walk into the centre of the city. Overall we throughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend and would stay there again.

I have just come home after an eight-day stay here. The hotel was even better than I expected from the reviews submitted by others. The location is excellent, right across the road from the beautiful Primorski Park and a short walk to the beach, and also a short walk from the old part of the city with many restaurants and other attractions. It's also a short walk from the stop for 409 bus to and from the Airport! The staff were all helpful and spoke English, the buffet breakfast was excellent and the whole hotel was spotlessly clean. The room I was in was spacious and well fitted out (built-in wardrobes, desk etc.) and the bed was very comfortable. So I would certainly reccomend mOdus Hotel!

The first morning we were woken up by the cleaner banging on the door for room service at 0830!!! We put the do not disturb sign on after that but they shouldn’t be there at 0830. The pool area looks nice but the whole time there is banging music playing so not relaxing. The lifts are few and small so you routinely have to wait ages for a lift. The real let down was the food. The restaurant caters for Middle Eastern guests who must like their food cold - Everything was cold! Breakfast was especially bad - cold eggs, pancakes, omelettes, the list goes on! Even to get toast was a challenge - 2 toasters were so low powered it generally took 4 passes to get bread looking brown! Each morning I left breakfast angry and still hungry. The hotel clientele is predominantly from the Middle East which I have no problem with, but if the hotel, supposedly a 5 Star hotel, are unable to provide hot, even warm, food then I would advise any British tourists to stay away

Firstly, the cleanliness is above all praise, and secondly, the staff are all very friendly, we, not knowing the Bulgarian language, did not feel any discomfort, everyone helped at the first request. Thirdly, the breakfasts are sooooo delicious. And the main feature is that a visit to the Aqua House is included in the price of your stay. We enjoyed our time there. This is a very nice hotel that's located a very short walk from the Golden Sands beach. Our room (439) was clean and had a great view of the hotel courtyard and the sea. If you want a great view of the sunrise, the view from this room is a great one. On the balcony, there was an extendable clothes drying rack, so there was no struggle to figure out where to hang our wet swimsuits and towels. Security is also good. The room doors operated on card locks and there was a small safe in our room. The safe was not big enough to put a laptop computer in, but certainly big eough for mobile phones and smaller tablet sized mobile devices. All the staff were friendly and attentive and all areas of the hotel were clean and well organised. The offer of food at all meals was very wide, it really was difficult sometimes to decide what to eat. All food was freshly prepared and presented in a self-serve style. The wellness section of the hotel was also very nice and we got very good back massages there. The hotel has three small swimming pools, two outside and one indoors. As good as this hotel is, there are areas it could improve: The main way to get to the beach is through a gate at the back of the hotel property. There is a large, steep set of stairs to go down from the gate to the road that leads to the beach. If you have mobility issues, you may need to find a different way to the beach. The three swimming pools at the hotel all keep the same operating hours, it would be nice if one of them could open later and stay open later than the others. Noise from activities going on in the hotel courtyard is a big obstacle to sleep if you have a room that faces that way. Every night, there was some organized activity going on until late in the evening. Even closing our room window didn't block the noise. Perhaps the hotel could consider putting sound proof windows on the rooms that face the courtyard.

Posh interior, fancy rooms. We booked the king superior suite (room 501) and it was spacious and snug with a huge terrace and adjacent pool and gym. Great artwork all over the place. Each floor has a different theme, earth, wind, fire, water. Nice bathroom amenities. Great breakfast. Amazing speciality coffee in the bar 87 downstairs, with Victoria Arduino hardware. Staff was attentive. There are no weights in the gym, just cardio machines and flimsy 5 kg dumbbells which I can lift with my eye lashes. The bathroom has glass walls, which is fancy, but inconvenient during night time, when you turn the lights on there is light spillage due to the glass ceiling and walls. Looks very nice though, can't deny that, Thai style. Some signs of wear and tear. Just one elevator. The TV sets used to be top notch back in 2010, sporting an integrated soundbar. Moët in the mini fridge for bonus points. Interesting minimalist industrial design.

Slightly older hotel with recently refurbished rooms and reception. Rooms are nice and service ok. It is not a four star hotel. Maybe room is three, but lacking amienties to be four. Breakfast is simple and no more than two star. Bed a little too hard for my liking. AC is central govern with just modest control in the room. Room temperature set to high. Curtains not fully lightproof. A bit out of city center. Quiet in the hotel for sleep quality

The hotel occupies one of the most distinctive buildings in St Konstantin and Helena and enjoys taking a central location next to shops and cafes. In fact, the breakfast is served in a local cafe rather than in the hotel itself (although hotel guests can't eat breakfast in the garden for some reason.) The breakfast food was delicious. The reception is polite, rooms are clean. Our room was on the small side (at the expense of large balcony) and the shower and basin are IN the rooms and not in a separate en-suite which means you can only share with people you know very well! ;-) A couple of minor complaints that let the hotel down are the fact that while there is a coffee machine and coffee pods in the room, guests are charged per drink. There is no bottled water (free or paid for) in the mini bar to use to make coffee and there is no provision of milk, nor milk powder. We went to reception to ask for some but they said they don't provide this. The single use shower gel shampoos and miniscule. The lighting is poor around the mirror...there is a hanging light next to the mirror so I can't see to put my make up on. However the fact that access to the Aquahouse Spa is INCLUDED in the room price is a great benefit and compensated for these irritations. Also, had we booked with more notice, the room would have been cheaper. As it happens, we paid a high price for booking at short notice which probably affected how I felt about the Primorski's value for money.

We stay at this hotel from October 1 to October 6. A couple of friends. Although a beautiful and clean boutique hotel, the service is not good. There are stairs at the entrance, stairs to the elevator and no one to help take luggage. Really shameful. In the dining room there is one waiter who is not enough to fill the gaps in the buffet anyway, which is not worthy of 5 stars. very poor You have to wait and ask for eggs or a sandwich from the menu. Tomato, cucumber, or cheese butter. Sometimes there is nothing and you have to wait for it to be brought to your table. Really not worthy of 5 stars. We were very disappointed. The lobby is really nice but there is no air conditioning. I will not come back here. Definately not

Disappointing. Definately not a four star. This hotel is so overrated and overprized. There are other hotels close by giving better value for money. On the positive side there is a nice reception area. And the bed is quite comfortable. The view is overlooking a crossroad. On the other side the hotel is old and worn. In the room there are no sockets near the bed. AC is central govern. Not possible adjusting temperature in the room. I left it on max cold for 24 hrs. No difference. It’s just a fan blowing. The hotel is located in the street. You get a lot of traffic noise from the crossroad outside. Furthermore curtains are not lightproof. You wake up at 6am by sunrise. And then there is breakfast. Breakfast is the worst I had in ages. Simple, cheap and a complete mess. They are trying, but definately struggling. Cheap, greasy low quality products . In addition they deny to refill after 9.30 and turn off the lights 10.05 while guests still are eating. Breakfastroom is crowded, lacking tables. Staff is hostile passive aggressive and shows horrendous behavior. But coffee was ok! Under the surface they really need to improve their quality. I am glad I only stayed two nights.
