We stayed over the past weekend and have nothing but great things to say about the hotel and staff. Check in was quick and efficient as always and we were able to book a meal for that evening in the Summit restaurant. My husband had the steak which he loved and I had the feather blade beef which was some of the nicest food I have ever tasted. Both of us agreed that the peppercorn sauce was fantastic! Staff were extremely attentive and able to answer my query regarding the wine I had- one of the nicest Italian Pinot Grigio’s I have ever had! The music in the bar that night was brilliant, a very lively male singer and there was great banter with the crowd. Breakfast on both mornings was excellent as usual, with a fantastic selection and attentive staff. Our meal in the Conall Cearnach restaurant on Saturday evening can only be described as divine! The chicken Koftas were absolutely delicious- the star of the show! My husband had the duck which was great and I had the pork medallions. Everything complemented each other beautifully and again some of the nicest food we have ever tasted. Our room was a junior double suite which was immaculately presented and had a gorgeous balcony with views of the meticulously attended to golf course. Overall another fantastic stay at the Slieve Russell and we cannot wait to return again!

This is a fantastic hotel. So many aspects to enjoy; Autumnal Cavan, with great Colour and lovely views. The hotel has several different walks, for all ages, on the grounds. A magnificent golf course. Modern rooms. Three eating areas. The Cedar rooms is our favourite (Thanks Yessine and Naima for your kindness, and expertise). Breakfast is a treat (thank you especially to Laura and Mary but all the staff are lovely). Swimming and spa area is fabulous. And lots lots more! We will be back! Special thanks to the Guest relations Manager, Bridie, for looking after us so very well.

Extremely service minded personnel - from reception to restaurant. We were upgraded to a larger room which was in the same well kempt and clean state as the hotel in general. Lovely and tasteful diner in restaurant. The morning breakfast was well-assorted. The coffee was though an insult to a prober morning coffee. Most recommendable and central located hotel.
