"Value for money, clean room and washroom with bath tub. The breakfast in hotel is nice and yummy, lots of choice at buffet, decent seating. Location is great for travellers not driving. The public bath at rooftop has splendid view and atmosphere but the water is not hot enough. Also the hotel does not has its own car park but there is plenty of hourly-pay car parks around."

"4.5 stars!  Property is older but extremely well maintained.  The corner western/Japanese rooms are spacious with two western beds and tatami area, single japanese bath and shower area and separate toilet area, mini fridge, tv, sitting area overlooking the river and table with four chairs as well as a massage chair!  Onsen area has both indoor and outdoor areas separate for men and women and a cold plunge as well as multiple hot baths.  Minus half a star for low staffing in the store/cafe areas (often no staff member to be found when kakigori desired), no in house lunch option and overly fatty meat on the 3rd night dinner (breakfast and dinner were LARGE and BEAUTIFUL but perhaps heavy on the yuba.  Also, shuttle to the train station is only at 10 and 11am and getting cabs is difficult.  However, would overwhelmingly recommend Nikko Senhime Monogatari!"

"The location is really good. 10 mins away from the station. Easy to find. Big hotel, about 11 floors. The room is quite spacious, part in western style with beds and part in japaneese with tatamis. There is sink in themiddle of the room, quite comfy. Good view to the mountain and forest from the window, 9th floor. Nice yukata to wear, i liked the outerpart. Breakfast and dinner is buffet, quite big choice, free beer for dinner, not so many fruits, no cakes for breakfast (dinner only). There is sushi and sashimi choice, delicious food. Onsen is quite good, clean, big. Will recommend to stay here"

"The hotel is old so you definitely see how dated the facilities are but at the same time you know they are very well maintained. My room on the 3rd floor was spacious and had great view to Chuzenji lake. The sulfur onsen was great too. Staffs are professional, especially those in the dining room. They are vey attentive and quick to response to your needs.  The only downside is the location. If you want to find a lowkey hotel to relax in a remote area, Chuzenji is a perfect choice. But beware that there are only 3 shuttle bus a day. If you missed the last shuttle at 16h40 you will have to catch the last public Tobu bus at 18h and it takes like more than an hour to get to the hotel. No taxi, no uber available."

"The room is typical business hotel size, not very big, just right for a single person. The meals are simple: salad, curry rice, and miso soup. It's right next to a shopping center, AEON, which is great for shopping. The service is good, I recommend it to everyone."

"The hotel is quite new, and the room is very spacious. We enjoyed soaking in the hot springs at night and strolling along the Onsen street during the day. It's very close to the Yumoto Onsen Ski Resort, which was great as it was mostly locals skiing there. The only downside is that it's a bit far to get to; you have to take the bus and get off at stop number 45."

"This hotel was about 30 minutes drive from Nasu Animal Kingdom and was on the mountain road. There are no convenience stores or supermarkets near the hotel, so I think it is better to buy beverages brought in at convenience stores found early. The room was very clean and the staff 々 was kind, polite, kind and happy. Thank you. What impressed me especially was that the full course of dinner was very delicious, and the beautiful golf course spreading from the window while eating made me have a calm time. I was able to eat slowly in a quiet place, probably because there were many calm adults in the customer base. Breakfast was also very delicious in a buffet style where you can choose fresh vegetables, rice, bread, side dishes, etc. The hot spring on the 2nd floor is a cold mineral spring, and it is called a hot spring of beautiful skin, so my skin became smooth and smooth ♪ I went twice at night and in the morning, but I was able to relax so that I could sigh. There was also a fitness room and an esthetic salon on the second floor. Also, the drinks to drink while watching the stars on the veranda of the room at night were the best and comfortable time The room feels a bit old, but it was very large, and the towels and roomware were clean and cozy. The bed was a little hard and I could sleep just right. The air conditioner can be adjusted in the room and there is also an air cleaner. However, there is no outlet near the bed and it seems that the mobile phone cannot be charged at the bedside. Maybe it was somewhere? I thought again that I was glad to choose this place because it was better than I imagined in everything. I would like to use it when I come to Nasu again ♪"

"One of the worst locations at Kinugawa Onsen area. Hidden in the mountain, no significantly beautiful view. Despite we need to pay for ”Hoshino Resort price”, unlike other cheaper hotels, we need to PAY for TAXI ourselves and getting a taxi during new year time is a terribly painful. Hotel staff lack of initiatives getting us cab instead we need to open different apps and such ... and on the way back the following day we ended up walking for 20 mins by ourselves .... Food is ok, onsen is ok, cleanliness ok, but nothing super ordinary. You can pay attention to details in decorations and inhouse services, but you can't pay attention to one of the most obvious services you HAVE TO provide to your guests, Hoshino ---- shuttle service ......."

"一人旅にて連泊しました 三連休の真っ只中でしたが意外と泊まってる人が少ない印象でした。サービス的な部分では接客は結構良いとは思います。 お部屋部分では1人でしたのでシングルにしましたが快適に過ごせましたが、壁の外装部分が少し剥がれ気味なのは気になります（至る所に天井など）。8階でしたので眺めは良かったです。 朝食などは、屋上10階フロアでビュッフェ式でした。ごく普通程度の食事でした。 温泉はとても質がいいと思います。"
