Hotel is located in an excellent location, close to the tourist information center, the Mount Askla and the ferry terminals. The airport bus from the airport stop directly in front of the hotel, so will be very convenient for travelers arriving /departing by air. There are also many restaurants and a small shopping mall nearby. Was assigned a room facing west, so could have a great view of the sunset from the room.

Breakfast is not bad. The location of the hotel is very good at the seaside, although it is on the edge of the city, but the small town is not far away. There is a parking lot but it is not free. It should be noted that there are many parking spaces in the parking lot facing the hotel. It is exclusive to the sports club. It is fined to stop there. The exterior looks like a sailboat. Each room has a sea view. Fjords, snow mountains, cruise ships, Fengfan and seabirds. The breakfast is plentiful and the restaurant is also facing the fjord.

Super 2 night stay. Great location above the town with a very attentive host who loaned us a map, which helped with a very nice walk to a nearby waterfall. There’s also a path almost straight down from the accommodation into the town, that avoids the twisty road. The room was lovely and with relaxing chairs to make it a very comfortable stay if we just wanted to chill. The residents’ kitchen is also a very good provision; we self catered both nights quite unexpectedly on the basis of it. Breakfast is taken at the next door hotel and is very good. All in all a super experience.

We arrived on a Wednesday, though our reservation was for Saturday. A cheerful receptionist welcomed us, and we were thrilled to find ourselves in a newly renovated cabin with a fantastic sea view. Our dining experience at the Flo restaurant, which had a great reputation, exceeded our expectations. We opted for a four-course meal: We looked forward to test the restaurant uses local ingredients from the sea, shore, agriculture, forest, and mountains. First Course: Juicy fried cuttelfish with olive puree. Second Course: A green flavor-bomb pea soup with apple syrup, sourced from the chef’s own apple farm. Main Course: Baked halibut with exquisite garnish and sauce. Dessert: Crème brûlée with forest berries at the bottom. The wine cellar and cocktail bar offered an impressive selection. For our next meal, we enjoyed smoked whiskey salmon rolls, Skagen salad, duck breast with exciting garnishes, and a delicious brownie cake. Other dishes included cuttlefish brandade, chicken salad, and mascarpone cream with sorbet and chocolate ice cream, all prepared by the talented head chef, Henrik. The top-quality tableware and professional service further enhanced our experience. Breakfast featured an array of local produce, reflecting the emphasis on local ingredients throughout our stay. You also have the opportunity to fish yourself or join a fisherman out on the lake. We got 50 kg in 4 hours. 10 kg large cod, 8 kg long and everything else we wanted. We stayed one nigth at The hotel on a sunday and it was quiet, The front desk area was very nice and had a Great feel. Calm colores and lots of seating. The restaurant was closed but the front desk staff was very helpful suggesting places to eat and alternatives they could offer as well. Outside the restaurant there is a cosy area where you can see the sunset. The breakfast is very good with a lot of options for allergies. And the staff kept it very nice, clean and stocked. The hallways look old but the room vas a pleasant surprise. Nice colors and mostly very clean. The only place they could do better on cleaning was under the bed as it was extremely dusty. Comfortable seating for both in the room and a great bed. The hotel is in the city center close to everything and also a short walk from a beautiful view at the viewpoint. All in all a great stay at this hotel and I would gladly come back and recommend it!
