The location was great, but our room had no direct light from sun, and no windows opening on outside at all, with an A/C that was not working at all. The room was hot and not air moving, a terrible feeling. On top of that, the room was located just below the roof top that was undergoing construction work, which means lot of noise from early morning. The room is very old, walls are stained, clearly not looking like the booking site pictures. The hotel needs a big refresh. Right now the entire exterior is under construction, I hope you plan to do the rooms soon. Overall, not acceptable not to be informed that there is big construction work done at the moment, and having a room with no external ventilation and AC working should not even be commercialized. A rip off for the price paid.

The hotel is actually older than expected. I chose this one because it clearly states that an airport shuttle service and a laundry room are available. I also double-checked to confirm they have a dryer, as I have a week’s worth of laundry to deal with during this layover. Unfortunately, the dryer did not work at all, and I ended up sitting beside it for two hours. And I had to resort to other slow methods to dry my clothes. On the upside, there is a Peking duck restaurant right next door, the airport shuttle is available, the bathroom hairdryer is powerful, and complimentary bottled water is provided.

I really love the Kempinski Hotel! Even though it's not a new hotel, everything about it is solid and meets my expectations. Ms. Maggie at check-in was very polite and generous, which was commendable. The bread rolls at breakfast were just like the Brötchen I had in Germany – a thin, firm, and crispy crust with a soft interior, only missing the **crumbs** on top. Our family lives in Tianjin, and we'll definitely stay at the Kempinski again when we come back to Beijing.

We booked a family room and arrived at 11 AM. I thought I'd try asking if we could check in early, and to my pleasant surprise, the gentleman at the front desk enthusiastically arranged it for us. Many thanks! 🙏 Facilities: The family room was fully equipped, with two double beds, a kitchen, and a dining area – all complete. However, the overall feel of the room leaned more towards a guesthouse. (Though I'm not sure why the TV wasn't facing the beds?) The rooftop pool, while not large, offered stunning views and had a lifeguard, so I felt comfortable letting my child swim independently. Environment: The hotel's location is convenient, about a 10-minute walk from both Jianguomen and Chaoyangmen subway stations. There are many attractions nearby, like Ritan Park, and plenty of shopping centers. The hotel had a lot of international guests and was relatively quiet. Upon checkout, the lady at the front desk thoughtfully gave my child a small gift. I would definitely consider staying here again.

The room was great, and the staff were very friendly. It's super convenient for getting around, right by the famous Shijia Hutong, with tons of food options nearby – you'll never go hungry. Just two things to note: there's no elevator, and breakfast leans heavily Western, with only knives and forks, no chopsticks. The front desk mentioned they have a lot of foreign guests, and I'd say about 80% to 90% of the people I saw were foreigners from all over the world. You'd occasionally spot a Chinese guest (like me, bringing back baozi and soy milk to eat in the restaurant). P.S. The family room was really good, first time staying in one and I was impressed!

The Executive Lounge on the 17th floor offers a fantastic view of the Forbidden City. Usually open from 6:30 AM to 10 PM, it's the perfect spot to take in the Forbidden City, including sunrises, sunsets, and its nighttime splendor. The hotel service is excellent, with staff proactively greeting guests and bellhops readily assisting with luggage. The ladies at the Executive Lounge were also super helpful, even offering tips for taking great photos of the Forbidden City. The hotel is conveniently located right on Wangfujing Street, directly opposite the Capital Theater. It's incredibly easy to go shopping and dining. After the pandemic, some sections of Wangfujing Street were converted into a pedestrian-only zone, making it truly China's premier 'Golden Street,' bustling with delicious food, fun activities, and a lively atmosphere. In the evenings, Wangfujing transforms into a talent show stage, with people singing and dancing everywhere. It's a vibrant area that still retains a strong sense of local charm. The hotel is just a few minutes' walk from the National Art Museum subway station, making it very convenient to access Beijing's core attractions like Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City, Qianmen, Temple of Heaven, Jingshan Park, Shichahai, and Nanluoguxiang. There's also a designated parking spot for shared bikes right outside the hotel.

This hotel offers incredible value for money. During peak season, it would easily cost over 1000 yuan. It boasts a huge courtyard and public hot springs, and the private hot spring tub in the room is also very clean and convenient. The entire hotel is massive and impeccably clean. The staff are attentive and meticulous, and upon check-in, we received a welcome fruit platter. The room is fully smart-controlled, with a refrigerator and complimentary drinks, and the TV allows for screen mirroring from your phone. After checking out, I realized I'd forgotten my phone charger, and the front desk promptly called me and mailed it back home free of charge. It was an excellent experience, unmatched by any other hotel at this price point. Highly recommended!

I was extremely satisfied with the room; it was spacious and bright, and conveniently located near Sanlitun for dining, shopping, and sightseeing. There's even a chance of bumping into my idol in Sanlitun! The subway station is right downstairs, making getting around incredibly convenient. Sitting on the balcony, enjoying the breeze, sipping coffee, and admiring the night view was simply beautiful. It was a fantastic travel and hotel experience. I don't usually leave reviews, but this time it was truly excellent and very comfortable. There were plenty of bottled water in the room. The owner is a native Beijinger who provided many travel tips, making my trip very pleasant. The guesthouse staff were incredibly attentive and helpful.

The room was clean and housekeeping was prompt. I also got a late check-out. There were quite a few foreigners staying at the hotel, and all the rooms had a European style. The only thing was, I had to remind the staff at check-in about the room upgrade that was clearly stated on my Ctrip booking before they actually gave it to me. It would be better if they proactively checked the order for upgrades next time.

Hana House Yudao | A Hotel I'd Return to for the 'Xiao Rizi' Experience For this trip to Beijing, I chose Hana House Yudao in Qianmen Xianyukou. My conclusion upfront: I'd come back a hundred times for the 'Xiao Rizi' intangible cultural heritage handicrafts. Location: Tucked away in Xianyukou Hutong, it's just 100 meters from Qianmen Street, making it incredibly convenient for shopping and dining. There are tons of historic eateries around, so you'll find whatever you're craving. 🛏️ Room: Newly renovated, spacious, and very comfortable. The only minor drawback is that the room window faces the kitchen vent of a century-old breakfast spot next door. Occasionally, there's some noise and a whiff of cooking oil – a small price to pay for the lively atmosphere of the old city. 🎨 The Absolute Highlight – The 'Xiao Rizi' Intangible Cultural Heritage Handicrafts: This was truly the highlight of my stay! The activities were incredibly varied – Song brocade gourds, Song brocade ponies, brocade fan bead art, mugwort hammers… I was making something different every day and just couldn't stop. The experience was absolutely fantastic. A special shout-out to Teacher Xiaobai! She was so patient and gentle, teaching us hands-on. Her attitude was so wonderful that I felt like giving her an award. Even with zero experience, you can create impressive pieces, which is incredibly satisfying. I've stayed at many Hana House hotels, but the 'Xiao Rizi' activities at Yudao are the most thoughtfully curated and closest to my heart. I'll definitely return for this dedication to craftsmanship. Before I left, they even gave me a sachet and a Dragon Boat Festival bracelet, along with some Beijing pastries as a farewell gift – so thoughtful! Summary: Excellent location + comfortable rooms + divine handicrafts. I'll just consider the noise from the vent as the morning soundtrack of old Beijing. 🎵

GGuest UserThe hotel's location is excellent, right near China World Mall, just a ten-minute walk away. The surrounding area has everything you need: transportation, shopping, and dining options. The staff are very professional, and the breakfast offers a wide variety of tasty options. However, the room facilities are a bit old, and there was a slight electrical buzzing noise in the room. It wasn't very loud, but it did impact my sleep.

MMudongdong_xChoosing Qiuguo for business trips is such a breeze! The lobby is a versatile 'seven-in-one' space, perfect for both work and relaxation. The rooms are well soundproofed and bright, and the high-speed WiFi is stable, making it stress-free to get work done. There's a 24-hour self-service laundry and dryer, so no need to pack dirty clothes when traveling for business. The front desk staff is professional and efficient, proactively helping with luggage storage and recommending routes; their service is thoughtful and attentive. The facilities are new, and hygiene is strictly maintained. The Lang Le Fu mattress provides a first-class sleeping experience. Highly recommend for business travelers!

SSChakrabortyMO hotels are usually very well located and this one is no exception. It is like an oasis in the middle of the hustle bustle of Wangfujing and I looked forward to my return to the quiet and solitude of the hotel after suffering the torture of accompanying my wife to numerous shopping malls nearby. We have travelled extensively all over the world and are familiar with well known hotels. I was expecting top notch service with warm hospitality and the hotel certainly lived up to the expectations. All the staff were warm, polite and helpful. Some are more fluent in English than others, but it was not an issue at all. Check in/check out was smooth. Stena at the front desk was very efficient and courteous. Osgood with his pins was also very friendly and saved me the trouble of finding a post office. The dining room staff spoke excellent English and I felt great when one lady said my pronunciation of 谢谢 was perfect. They really know how to make the guests feel happy ! Breakfast buffet had a good mix. After three weeks of travelling in China eating steamed buns, fried rice and noodles for breakfast I was desperate for some proper continental breakfast and the hotel definitely delivered. One of the best almond croissants that I have ever eaten. The egg benedict was perfect. My small gripe with the Avo toast is that I am used to having the Avo mashed and spread on the bread with a bit of lemon/salt and not served just as slices on bread. No big deal of course. Our room did have a partial view of the forbidden city, you get better view from their terrace. I regret that I did not have time to enjoy the pool. Lovely big bathroom , his and hers basins and a separate WC with one of those Toto modern toilets with many buttons, even separate settings for two users ! Very good sound proofing. One small thing that impressed me was that I had left several cables plugged to the wall socket in the morning. On my return I saw house keeping has neatly tidied up all the cables and even used a cable tie to make them look very organised ! This is not a huge hotel and that makes the experience more personal. It does not have a grand lobby and you may be disappointed that the entrance is common with a shopping mall. But as soon as you step out of the lift it oozes old world charm and sense of peace and solitude. Incidentally my daughter was staying at the MO in Barcelona at the same time and told us Bad Bunny was staying there and it has turned into a circus. Thankfully no celebrities and their fans disturbed our peace. Have a look at the room key card. It is designed by Timmy Yip, who was the art director of one my my most favourite films Couching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. I appreciated the gifts at the time of leaving. My one little comment is that I found the pillows a bit on the soft side. Some hotels have a pillow menu where the guests can choose pillows with different level of firmness. Maybe the management can look into that. Overall a very satisfying stay and I'd certainly consider staying here if I return to Beijing.

CChaorendiediAfter comparing several hotels in the same price range, I chose Zǐlóng Gardens. I'd also looked at their usual rates, and it seemed a bit pricier then, but booking it in advance for a holiday trip was definitely a steal. **Stay:** For the same price, other places offer rooms under 30 square meters, but Zǐlóng Gardens gives you 50 square meters. It's nestled in a hutong, offering a quiet escape in the midst of the bustling city. It's actually the former residence of Prince Taò, who was an advisor to the People's Liberation Army's equestrian administration. We opted for the family room, which even had a small balcony with a view. The room had a great wet/dry separation in the bathroom, so washing up wasn't cramped at all. **Food:** The mini-fridge was stocked with complimentary drinks (mineral water, Coke, Sprite, beer), and they'd replenish it anytime. Although the restaurant isn't huge, the food is incredibly fresh, with different dishes every day. I initially thought breakfast wasn't included, but it turned out to be free! From 11 AM to 11 PM, they offer afternoon tea with chef-prepared dishes like wontons and Zhajiangmian, all completely free of charge. You can even take fruit back to your room. The 'Sìyuè Hétún' restaurant on the first floor also had good prices and flavors; no reservations needed for their fugu or roast duck. **Getting Around:** It's very close to Nanluoguxiang, the National Art Museum of China, Wangfujing, and Longfu Temple. The subway station is about a 10-minute walk, but I mostly used taxis, which made getting around super convenient. **Service:** The hotel staff's service was impeccable. Finally, although check-out was officially at 12 PM, they were fine with us leaving at 2 PM, and even gave us a farewell gift. Overall, it was a truly satisfying stay. Our 5-day, 4-night trip during Chinese New Year was a fantastic family experience and definitely enhanced our vacation.

Oo77oThis five-star hotel is absolutely superb, offering seven-star service. They called me before check-in to confirm my arrival time and ask about any room preferences. As soon as I arrived, they promptly arranged a room on my preferred floor and in my ideal location. They even provided a latex pillow for my neck issues. Since there were many people coming and going for a conference, they replenished our bottled water supply daily, allowing us to relax and enjoy tea and conversation. Housekeeping was also excellent; they only cleaned our room after we had left, ensuring they never disturbed our work or rest. Thank you!

UuunaaWhile there was an initial misunderstanding due to a hygiene concern which caused distress on our first night stay that I had to escalate the matter through Trip.com, the hotel manager turned the experience around. The night before check-out, we had a genuine and positive conversation at the lobby. She was humble and openly acknowledged her shortcomings and appreciated for helping her learn and grow as a leader. Good to know that a manager willing to take accountability and desire to improve. Every hotel staff we have interacted with are professional and friendly. Aside from the good service recovery, we loved the hotel's convenience: 1. Siji Minfu Peking Roast Duck Restaurant (四季民福) is next to the hotel along with other food options in the same stretch. 2. The hotel is perfectly located within walking distance to Wangfujing Pedestrian Street (shopping and food). 3. The fun robot that delivers food right to our doorstep! The hotel also prepared light snacks for our airport journey. Overall, this hotel is highly recommended!

CcarrascooHonestly, staying at this hotel for my first time in Beijing truly broadened my horizons and changed my perception of the city. My wife, our child, and I came to Beijing for the May Day holiday. She said since we're here, we might as well splurge and experience a traditional Beijing courtyard. It truly delivered a top-tier luxury experience. The room layout was excellent, the courtyard views were charming, the service was impeccable, and the location was superb with an abundance of food delivery options. Breakfast was all made-to-order. The only thing we missed out on was the bar and hotel activities, but there's always next time. I do have two minor points of discomfort to share, just for reference: 1. When our taxi pulled up to the hotel entrance, a staff member immediately asked me what I was doing there. I was a bit taken aback at first, then explained I was checking in. I'm not blaming him; perhaps I was dressed too casually, but it did feel a little off-putting. 2. On our last day, breakfast felt less crowded, but the food service was incredibly slow. We went at 10 AM, thinking half an hour would be plenty for breakfast, especially since the day before our food arrived in about 15 minutes. This time, we waited half an hour just for the dishes to arrive. Overall, it was absolutely wonderful, and I'd definitely go back if I get the chance. It left a lasting impression, and thinking about it now still brings back such lovely memories, especially sitting in the courtyard at night, listening to music and watching the stars 💫
