Hotel near Tian'anmen Square and Wangfujing Area,Beijing
CClaire Fong 2026.04.03
We checked in on Sunday morning and were warmly welcomed by a helpful receptionist who assisted with luggage storage. Hotel room is clean, spacious, and well-furnished. The hotel location is great, between Tiananmen Square and Wangfujing. However, scaffolding was set up around the building due to repair works. Despite this, the staff handled things well—helping us change rooms, fixing minor issues, and even returning items we left behind. A staff member named Baozi stood out for his professionalism and helpfulness, especially when assisting us with Didi transport for our group and luggage. Breakfast was average but convenient, starting at 6:30 a.m., though we missed it one day due to an early trip to the Badaling Great Wall.

Location is good, although car couldn’t drive in but short walking distance to main road is fine. Staff is friendly and helpful, recommended us to take level 1 room which is very convenient to get hot water from lobby. Breakfast choices are limited, only grab some in the morning before start our itinerary of the day. Hotel amenities with clothes dryer is an important factor for me to book this hotel (Per trip and hotel information, it should have clothes dryer), however we were informed the clothes dryer is spoilt after we washed the clothes, which is a minus point for me. Hope hotel can take note on this feedback.

This was by far the most satisfying accommodation of our trip. The room was clean, tidy, and cozy, with a very thoughtful and comfortable layout. We were so pleased! On the night we checked in, they even upgraded us to a family room, which made our stay even more convenient. The front desk was worried we wouldn't have enough toiletries, so they proactively provided extra toothbrushes and slippers. It's a shame we didn't mention staying longer sooner, as the room was already booked, which is a bit regrettable. We are extremely satisfied with this place; even the name is wonderful. The owner must be very talented and truly understands how to live life well. It really felt like home while traveling.

Everything else was pretty good. The breakfast quality was decent, and the service was prompt. However, perhaps due to the premium on space, the rooms felt too cramped and close together. The soundproofing was terrible; I was woken up all four nights. Even after changing rooms once, the issue persisted. The design of the doors caused a lot of noise when closing, and there were frequent alarms indicating an unlocked door. It's inevitable to encounter neighbors with different schedules when staying at a hotel, compounded by kids playing in the hallways and the cleaning staff starting very early. This is just my personal experience, and I'll choose a different hotel next time.

I've stayed at the Raffles many times, and I'm always satisfied. This time, they even upgraded me to a city view room, so I could see the China Zun building right from my room. I booked it last minute on a weekend, and the price was still great, so it's excellent value for money.

Boom! This hotel is located in Beijing's Chaoyang District, within the Third Ring Road, making it convenient to get anywhere. They have their own parking, and even gave us a half-price discount on parking. The ninth-floor garden and laundry room are excellent, and there's even a museum downstairs worth exploring in your free time. The hotel's restaurant is also a boom! Breakfast was a pleasant surprise, and we ended up eating lunch and dinner there too. They offer great set menus online. A very satisfying trip overall.

This was my first time visiting Beijing with my child, primarily to see Tiananmen Square, the National Museum of China, and the Forbidden City. Since it was also May Day, I was looking for a hotel within the Second Ring Road, close to attractions and the subway, with a king-sized bed plus a twin bed (so adults and children could sleep undisturbed), and at a reasonable price. After a lot of searching, I settled on the Renaissance Beijing Wangfujing Hotel. The day before check-in, the hotel called to confirm my reservation and very thoughtfully asked if I had any specific requests. Overall, it exceeded my expectations: I arrived at the hotel at 10:30 AM, thinking they wouldn't let us check in so early, but they allowed us to check in ahead of time, which was a great start! The room was clean and fresh, dispelling my earlier worries from reviews that mentioned a strange smell. The hotel is very close to the Art Museum Station on Subway Line 8, just a few minutes' walk, and Wangfujing is also just a short stroll away, making it incredibly convenient. Breakfast, afternoon tea, and dinner were all served in the executive lounge on the 17th floor, and they were complimentary – that was a fantastic bonus!

This hotel has a very strong French vibe, with L'Occitane shampoo and shower gel provided in the rooms. The service is excellent, the environment is lovely, and it's very clean. Plus, it's really close to the Forbidden City. A fantastic experience overall!

The hotel's location is perfect for a leisurely city walk. It's great for visiting attractions like the Bell and Drum Towers, exploring the hutongs, strolling around Houhai and Yinding Bridge, or seeing Prince Gong's Mansion. The subway also makes it convenient to get to Shichahai and Nanluoguxiang. The hotel staff provide warm, thoughtful, and incredibly personalized service, making you feel right at home.

GGuest UserCleanliness: Good. Service: Pretty good. Environment: The room was quite spacious, but the view from the lower floor wasn't great. Facilities: The breakfast had a good variety, but it was very crowded, and finding a seat was a bit difficult. There weren't enough power outlets in the room. The shower water temperature wasn't hot enough, reaching only about 38 degrees Celsius, and it couldn't be adjusted higher. The hotel is located in a commercial area with large shopping malls nearby, so the surroundings are nice and convenient.

JJinganheleFirst off, I want to commend the front desk, the bellhops, and the housekeeping staff – they were all incredibly attentive and responsive. They even surprised me with a tiramisu cake for my birthday, which I really appreciate. On the downside, the facilities are showing their age. For example, in room 2025, the bathtub caddy kept popping open on its own. The first time, after my bath, I almost scraped my leg on it. I’d push it back in, and it would just pop open again. I understand that after so many years, wear and tear is normal, but maintenance really needs to address these issues promptly. Also, the doormen outside are a few middle-aged men with large bellies; you can tell they wouldn’t be much help with heavy luggage, and they’re not very observant either – they won’t come over unless you wave them down. Lastly, the tea provided in the room feels a bit cheap. It would be much better if it were all Twinings.

GGuest UserFantastic location! It's right next to Siji Minfu (a famous Peking duck restaurant), Fangzhuan Factory Zhajiangmian, Jingzhou Shuan (hot pot), other京菜 (Jingcai - Beijing cuisine), and a Shenzhou car rental. There are also makeup services nearby. The subway is close, and there's a bus stop right at the entrance. We checked in at night (presumably referring to off-hours check-in, though '值班入住' literally means 'duty check-in', it implies someone was there to assist).

AAnonymous UserWe stayed here for a few nights during Chinese New Year with our family, and overall it was a very warm and comfortable experience. The butler team, especially April, meticulously tracked our needs and preferences, expertly arranging our room and attending to small details throughout our stay. When we were in our room, the housekeeping staff tried their best to quickly tidy up without disturbing us. Bonnie at the Yanting restaurant carefully observed our needs during our meals, and the Korean gentleman at Vicini recommended a pizza that was absolutely delicious! He also shared many interesting stories behind the dishes, making the entire dining experience even more enjoyable (dinner at Vicini was superb). A truly delightful surprise during our stay was the gold leaf painting class taught by Mr. Jerry Li. This was part of the Chinese New Year activities, and not only was his explanation detailed, but he also took a family photo for us and presented it in a frame. What a wonderful surprise! Genuine service truly wins! We'll definitely be back to experience it again in different seasons.

GGuest UserThe environment at the Commune is fantastic, with birds chirping, flowers blooming, and fresh air. The rooms are quite spacious, and although the facilities are a bit dated, they are clean and tidy (just a heads-up, the air conditioning can be a bit noisy when set to heat at a higher temperature). The hotel service is excellent; they even have an MPV shuttle if it rains. The restaurant food was surprisingly good, and the breakfast had a wide variety of options. There are also activities like ball courts, ATVs, and hiking available. It's very conveniently located, just a five-minute drive from the Badaling Shuiguan Great Wall!

MMrFineFineFineBooking was a breeze, and the cancellation policy was flexible, which was great since it's so close to Beijing South Railway Station. Check-in at the front desk was super efficient. Wendy, who assisted me, was incredibly clear and organized, explaining everything from upgrades and breakfast options to elevator directions. She really turned my mood around after a frustrating experience with a taxi driver. The room was spacious and wonderfully bright. It had all the amenities, including a capsule coffee machine. I especially loved the creamer pods the hotel provided – a shot of espresso with a pod of creamer was perfect. One small thing: there's an iron burn mark on the luggage rack. Also, be aware that the shower defaults to the overhead rain shower, even though there's a sign. I didn't notice it at first and got a cold shower right away! Not sure what the design intention behind that is. Breakfast was excellent, especially the coffee, and many items were freshly prepared, showing the chefs really put thought into their offerings. Xidan, with all its dining and shopping, is just a short walk to the right from the hotel entrance. For anyone with a budget under 1200, I highly recommend this place. A tip for getting from South Station to the hotel: don't take a taxi. Drivers will often refuse short fares. Use a ride-hailing app instead. Unfortunately, my company's policy doesn't cover ride-hailing, so I ended up with an unnecessarily frustrating business trip experience.
