My overall experience at the Potala Palace View Hotel (Potala Palace Branch) was extremely satisfying. The room directly faces the Potala Palace, offering a panoramic view where both the morning and night scenery have their unique charm. Just sitting by the window, you can quietly enjoy this breathtaking and peaceful sight. The hotel's rooftop restaurant also boasts a great location, allowing you to dine with views of the Potala Palace, creating a wonderful ambiance.
The staff were warm, attentive, and thoughtful. Whether during check-in or dining, any requests were promptly addressed and resolved, making me feel completely at ease. The overall environment is comfortable, and the service is considerate. It's an excellent choice for anyone visiting Lhasa who wants a comfortable stay with convenient access to views. Highly recommended.

Service: The lady at the front desk was absolutely wonderful. We had booked a twin room, but she proactively upgraded us to a family suite! The room was spacious and decorated with unique ethnic characteristics.
Facilities: The facilities are comprehensive, even including a medical oxygen concentrator! They also provide nasal cannulas. Everything you could possibly need is available.
Environment: Excellent, and the soundproofing is good! There's also a Nepalese restaurant on the top floor of the hotel that many locals frequent, and hotel guests even get a discount! The hotel's location is also superb; it's only about a ten-minute walk to Jokhang Temple (at a leisurely pace, typical for Lhasa) and very close to the bus stop. There's also a delicious cold noodle shop right next to the hotel downstairs!
I would definitely choose this hotel again if I come back to Lhasa!
The room facilities are very new, the hotel service is very good, and the housekeeper Nizhen is very attentive and considerate. You can also choose the hotel restaurant for meals. Overall, I feel that the price-performance ratio is good. The stone pot chicken is delicious. I will choose to stay here again when I come to Linzhi next time.

I booked this hotel for a three day stay and had an amazing time. The front desk staff and the third-floor restaurant team were incredibly kind, sweet, polite, and respectful. The food was not only super delicious but also reasonably priced. The bathroom and blankets in the room were all spotlessly clean. It’s absolutely worth a visit – I highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Lhasa who’s struggling to pick a place to stay. You won’t regret booking here.
The nicest hotel we have stayed in during our 4 week trip in China! The Hilton was a very clean hotel with comfortable rooms and a great bed and shower. The breakfast buffet is very extensive with Chinese and Western choices. We are at the Coal Bar one night and the pizza and beer was reasonably priced and the pizza was large and quite tasty. The location is good!
This is the smartest hotel we stayed in from Chengdu to Zuogong. There is no need to use room cards to scan faces to enter the room. All devices are controlled by voice. The room is equipped with a massage chair, which relieves the fatigue of the journey from Batang to Zuogong. The room is clean and tidy, and is equipped with two wireless charging stations. The only drawback is that the laundry room is a bit cold. Maybe there are fewer waiters working during the Spring Festival. The three young ladies at the front desk are very enthusiastic and have a good attitude. My husband has a little altitude sickness, and the young man helped with the luggage. He also prepared snacks when I went out in the morning. It was very thoughtful. If I come to Zuogong next time, I will choose to stay here again.

The service was excellent and the facilities were comprehensive. Since it was the off-season, they generously upgraded our room. We had a direct view of the Potala Palace, which was fantastic. However, the breakfast was a bit disappointing compared to previous reviews; the à la carte Western options, for my personal taste, were a bit like 'dark cuisine' (a humorous way to say it was badly made or unappetizing).
Hygiene: The hygiene is good, but the shower was not very good on the first day, and the water was very hot.
Facilities: The facilities are also OK. It should have been the James Joyce brand before, but now it has changed its name and done it yourself!
Environment: The surrounding area is very convenient, and parking is also convenient. Just remember to register the license plate number.
Service: The front desk beauties are very good and enthusiastic.
We stayed for three consecutive days and will come again next time.

Looking at the decor, you can tell it must have been beautiful when it was first built, with distinct ******* characteristics. It basically has all the facilities and services a five-star hotel should offer. However, the problem is that after so many years, the facilities are just too old. The cabinet doors don't close properly, the seating cushions are heavily worn, the old-fashioned toilet is very difficult to use, and the glass is foggy – I'm not sure if it's dirty or just aged. I chose a room with a Potala Palace view, but the cloudy glass really spoiled the experience. There were even leftover toenails from previous guests on the carpet, which was quite disgusting. I also have to mention the mini-bar. There were only 6 cans of Coke and Sprite, with no price tags. I assumed they were complimentary, but when I asked, they were 18 yuan each. Seriously, I've stayed in many five-star hotels. If a mini-bar is going to charge, please at least stock it with sparkling water, orange juice, and beer (if not wine or sparkling wine) to look more professional. If you only have these few bottles, either be generous and offer them for free, or just remove them. The current approach feels a bit cheap. Overall, this hotel definitely needs a renovation.

It's a cute little traditional ******* style hotel that is just a stone throw from Barkhor Street and Jokhang Temple. The hotel doesn't provide breakfast but has an Indian restaurant downstairs. You can also find plenty of food along the Barkhor Street which is like 2 mins walk away. Potala Palace is also relatively near about 2km away. The hotel also has cute kittens running around.

BBDZzzzThe room amenities truly exceeded my expectations! Not only did it have a medical-grade diffused oxygen system, but also a thoughtful humidifier. For someone like me, new to high altitudes, this was an absolute lifesaver. I slept incredibly soundly at night, without any altitude sickness issues. The hotel lobby offers a free ******* clothing experience, complete with headwear and belts, so you can take stunning photos without any extra cost! The hotel's courtyard is also a fantastic spot for photos, with white pagodas, prayer flags, and golden sails – every shot is social media-worthy. Even more surprising, every Friday morning you can participate in a traditional Sang offering ceremony, where you light cypress branches with the hotel staff and experience the most authentic ******* culture. This immersive experience is truly rare and special!

11398221****This was my first time in Lhasa, and when I was booking a hotel, I was immediately drawn to Fanlian's decor. The aromatherapy inside the hotel was very pleasant, and the interior design was exactly my style. Being welcomed with a Hada (******* ceremonial scarf) and hot tea made me feel right at home instantly. The hotel offers many experiential activities like yoga, ******* incense making, and meditation. The room was very comfortable, equipped with a humidifier and diffused oxygen. The warm porridge provided nightly in a thermos was a lovely touch. I've already recommended it to friends planning a trip to Lhasa. Each room also comes with a dedicated butler who is attentive and meticulous, answering any questions promptly. This was a very satisfying stay.
LLvlingfan007The room was spotless, and the view of the Potala Palace from here was absolutely breathtaking. The hotel is perfectly situated right behind and to the right of the Potala Palace, making my windowsill my 'personal viewing platform': At midday, wisps of clouds drifted across its white walls and golden roofs, as if a breathing quilt was draped over the ancient palace; In the evening, the setting sun painted the Red Palace a honeyed hue, and as prayer flags fluttered in the wind, they seemed like countless hands applauding it; The moment the night lights came on, the entire palace suddenly 'came alive' – like an ancient ship moored in the darkness, carrying the stories of the Tubo Dynasty, slowly sailing towards the myriad lights of modern Lhasa. The complimentary biscuits were delicious, and the other snacks were great too! The butler and front desk service were warm and attentive. I arrived close to 2 PM, having not yet eaten, and the small eatery they recommended – the third shop after turning right from the hotel – was absolutely delightful.
