"This is a fantastic resort-style hotel. If you love nature, I highly recommend it! You can snorkel right off the beach and see small sharks, sea turtles, and plenty of fish. I was very satisfied with everything, especially the stunning sunsets from our room's balcony. The dining options are all international. There are about four restaurants: a buffet, a poolside bar, an Italian restaurant, and another bar. The breakfast buffet offers a wide and delicious variety of international dishes. The cleanliness is excellent, and the service is incredibly thoughtful. The front desk staff even remembered our names! After staying for three nights, they still recognized us at check-out. We didn't want to leave and will definitely be back!"

"No need to wake up early for a safari when staying at this hotel! You can see many black-faced monkeys, four or five crocodiles in the lake, peacocks, lizards, various water birds, and small squirrels. The ecosystem here is fantastic, and surprisingly, there were no mosquitoes at all – maybe it was the season. The weather was great during our stay, and dinner was good too. It's definitely a great value for money option in this area. We also met a staff member who enthusiastically led us to the hotel's private beach and took photos for our whole family. He refused a tip, saying he was just happy we came, such a kind person! The animals here are also very friendly; the monkeys don't attack people and just eat leaves. What a magical experience watching the hotel's dogs immediately charge and bark when they saw crocodiles trying to come ashore!"

"We had a truly wonderful stay at Heritance Ahungalla, and the entire experience exceeded our expectations from start to finish. The check-in process was smooth and welcoming, and the fresh juices served upon arrival were very refreshing after the journey. The room was spotlessly clean, tidy, spacious, and well equipped with all the luxury amenities needed for a comfortable stay. The atmosphere throughout the resort had a relaxing beachside vibe, which made the stay even more enjoyable. We also used the gym, which was properly equipped with a good range of equipment. The resort has two swimming pools, and we spent most of our time at the main pool, which was absolutely massive and perfect for relaxing. The highlight of the stay was definitely the food experience. The dinner buffet was exceptional with an incredible variety of dishes. There were large selections of salads, appetizers, breads and buns, Sri Lankan specialties, international cuisine, and live cooking stations. The seafood and meat variety was especially impressive — including chicken, beef, pork, cuttlefish, prawns, fish, and many other seafood dishes, with multiple preparations for each. My personal favorite was the pork leg, which was incredibly delicious, tender, and flavorful. The dessert corner was huge, offering plenty of choices and beautifully presented sweets. After a very comfortable night’s sleep, we went for breakfast, and honestly, it was just as impressive as dinner. The breakfast buffet included a massive spread with salad stations, bakery items, fresh fruits, Sri Lankan and international breakfast options, live stations, and an amazing juice bar with around 7–8 varieties of fresh juices. They also had a dedicated cheese section, multiple yogurt options, and even 4–5 types of porridges, which was something unique and very well done. Overall, Heritance Ahungalla offers a fantastic combination of luxury, comfort, delicious food, and relaxing coastal ambience. Everything from the service to the dining and facilities was excellent. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a memorable beach getaway in Sri Lanka! 🌴✨"

"The feeling of vacation is full when you enter the hotel. The room is OK but there are a lot of bugs. There are 3 restaurants in the hotel, Italian, Asian and buffet. There are some tourist restaurants around the hotel, which are not recommended. It takes about half an hour to drive to any restaurant that is worth your attention. When you check out, you should take a good look at the bill. There are several extra items such as turtle protection fees for no reason."

"The room I was originally given was close to the street and was very noisy. Later, I was given a room close to the sea, and the beach was right outside the door🏖. Of course, I only stayed for two nights and left early. The room was large and nice, with sufficient air conditioning and a comfortable bed. The only problem was that the hot water was not hot enough for this generation of hotels. It was probably warm water. I hoped I wouldn't catch a cold after taking a shower. I was quite happy staying there."

"The Hilton Yala Resort is located on the southern edge of Yala National Park in Sri Lanka, at the entrance to a protected area... It's said that the park experience is a substitute for an African safari, and this protected area is home to wild animals such as leopards, elephants, deer, and peacocks, especially the leopard colony (just kidding, you practically never see one [sweat]). This resort has only 42 rooms, blending seamlessly into nature. Each room has a private balcony and a Jacuzzi or private pool. A spa is standard at resorts, and there are suites and more private villas, but the prices are just as hefty [laughs]..."

"Nestled by the lake with expansive lawns, the hotel offers a truly wonderful environment. The room amenities were also excellent. It was delightful to spot various small birds and squirrels freely roaming the lobby and playing on the hotel's grounds – our children were absolutely thrilled. The swimming pool was also fantastic, and there was so much for the kids to do right on-site that they barely needed to leave the hotel. Breakfast was a generous spread, and the service was exceptionally warm. They can arrange transport to Yala and Bundala. Unfortunately, it wasn't bird-watching season, so we missed out on Bundala. However, should we visit Bundala again, we would definitely choose to stay here."

"We absolutely loved the Araliya Hotel. It's a great hotel with a fantastic beach, sand, and sea. They have excellent sun loungers exclusively for guests, and the beachfront area is guarded, so you don't have to worry about outsiders taking them. The beach bar/restaurant is superb, with excellent service. They always have cold beer, delicious cocktails, fresh fruit, and fish. Every day, they'd bring out freshly caught tuna and announce it to the whole beach, which was quite a highlight. The sandy beach is gently sloping, the sea is warm, and the water is clear. You'll see a lot of families and children on the beach. It's definitely a family-friendly hotel, with about 80% Russian guests. The staff doesn't speak Russian (except for one person), but that's not an issue with the restaurants around the hotel, where many people, including taxi drivers, understand Russian. We really enjoyed everything. It has all you need for a relaxing vacation. The rooms are spacious and clean, and all have sea views. The bathroom is also quite large. Nearby, there's a street with restaurants and shops offering good prices. You'll find currency exchange offices everywhere; the rates are a bit lower than at the airport, but not by much. We truly loved our stay and will definitely be back, maybe with our kids next time. P.S. I'd like to give a special shout-out to Naveen, one of the restaurant staff members. He's a very pleasant, smiling, and responsive guy who went out of his way to make every guest comfortable. We were very impressed with his service."
