Hotels With bar in Uva Province, Sri Lanka

"The hotel is located halfway up a hill, requiring a turn off the main road onto a very narrow and steep path. A 7-seater car can't make it down, so you'll need to take a tuk-tuk. This guesthouse-style hotel has exceptionally friendly staff; they always greet you with a smile. It truly offered the best service throughout our entire Sri Lanka trip. The hotel views are indeed stunning, offering a clear sight of Little Adam's Peak. The food was decent; dinner wasn't a buffet but a set menu where you could choose from a few options, and the taste was fine. However, the rooms definitely need improvement. Firstly, pest control was inadequate; ants crawled on me several times while I was sleeping. Secondly, the bedsheets didn't feel very clean; they seemed unwashed and rather flimsy. Lastly, it would be much better if they provided a proper duvet instead of just a sheet and a blanket."

"This hotel is worth staying for the stunning mountain views alone. Otherwise, the rooms are a bit dirty, especially the bathroom, with lots of dead insects on the curtains. The bathroom lacks even basic amenities (soap dish, glass for toothbrushes, etc.). There were mosquitoes in the room upon check-in. The staff didn't seem particularly concerned."

"Pros: Quiet and private environment, beautiful scenery, good quality breakfast and room service, good service. Cons: Arrived around 3pm, and waited for a full hour to check in, almost collapsed. The room has no air conditioning and simple facilities. Open bathroom, don't take a shower at night, it will be cold."

"Keeping in mind this is a 3 star hotel, the positives are the rooms are big with a balcony looking out at amazing views (ours anyway), and the pool is clean and quite big also with amazing views and a concrete elephant water feature!!! The location of the hotel is pretty good too - far enough from other properties to be quiet but close enough to Ella main drag that you can walk in 10-15 minutes or pay a tuk tuk driver double the rate of Colombo to get to and from. The big negative for us was that despite being told upon checking in that the room would be cleaned every day, it was not. And I was told the reason why was that we didn’t hand in our key for it to be done - which seems bizarre after staying in hotels for decades and not being told to or having to hand in a key in order to get a standard daily room clean. The insinuation that it was our fault for not handing in a key (not that we were told to do so on checking in) was extremely irritating. Food was ok but overpriced so we ate elsewhere (lots of options). There were lots of little things in the rooms that could be easily addressed to make them nicer - definitely not having ripped old bath towels, and removing an empty TV bracket from the wall (like a TV used to be there but not anymore - or was it just our room, who knows). All these little things add up to I really think the room rate is too high - but we are here in the high season so maybe that’s just the going rate."

"Honestly, if I hadn't found this hotel, I might have given up on Ella. There are so many ugly little guesthouses in Ella that I really didn't want to stay in. Turns out, I made the right choice! The hotel has excellent aesthetics; although it's not large, every detail is exquisite. The balcony is absolutely stunning! It perfectly matches the secluded scenery I had imagined! The pool is especially beautiful, and there are even net hammocks to lounge in! The hotel isn't accessible by car, so you'll need to transfer to a tuk-tuk. Just contact the hotel in advance."

"這次在斯里蘭卡住過最完美的酒店，值得超五星。 我們訂的行政別墅，樓下一個大床，樓上兩個略小床墊。電動窗簾拉開就是幾乎全景玻璃陽台，可以看到外麪茶山。還能看到三孔橋和路過火車。 mini bar裏面給了幾十包茶包，都是免費，四瓶玻璃瓶水也是免費，酒和飲品收費。 游泳池很好看很出片，像無邊泳池。 一定要選帶晚餐的，晚餐是點菜式五道式，非常可口，也很特別，不含飲料。早餐也有一個很特別的脆皮蛋包，通往餐廳的路上能拍到很美的照片。 唯一就是蚊蟲比較多，整個行程唯一的兩個包就是在這裏晚上睡覺時候被咬的"

"By far the best hotel to stay at during a safari in Yala Park. All the hotel staff were incredibly kind and helpful. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. A big thank you to the chef, who treated us to a delicious dinner and waited until 11am to serve us breakfast, as our return from the safari was delayed. We highly recommend this hotel."

"Check in took more than 40 minutes, rooms are massive and some good views. Air conditioning needs a repair for sure. Food was nice but restaurant staff were not that friendly. Breakfast buffet had some good variety. Hotel is okay for a one night stay, i doubt if its good for a longer holiday. Good thing is that kiri vehera temple is close by."

"The ventilation window of the bathroom is directly open to the outdoors. After turning on the light at night, mosquitoes will fly in and small geckos will climb in. The room may be because it is too humid and has a smell. However, the hotel's service was very good. We went to Safari the next morning because the off-road vehicle was stuck in the mud and delayed the time. We returned to the hotel late. The hotel also called to ask if we needed to set aside our breakfast."
