Very clean rooms; filling breakfast; very thoughful message during breakfast. I only had a problem with parking space; they can house 6 cars but if you park last, you may be called to move in order for others to move their car. Otherwise, I recommend 10/10!

Staff are nice. They should improve their breakfast choices. Gym area is not ideal since it has limited equipment, area is small, and no proper ventilation.

This is actually my third time staying at New Dawn Pensionne House in Cagayan de Oro, mainly because of its convenient location and affordable rates. The hotel is well-located near malls, restaurants, and other establishments. If you need personal items, Watsons is also nearby, which is very convenient. However, during my stay I noticed that the Wi-Fi inside the room was very slow. I also tried switching to mobile data, but the signal inside the room was still weak. I even had to step outside the room just to get a stronger signal. Considering that Cagayan de Oro already has 5G network coverage, it was surprising that the signal could barely reach inside the room. Another thing to note is that the room does not provide free toiletries like shampoo, toothbrush, or toothpaste, so you need to buy them outside if you forget to bring your own. There was also confusion about the check-out time. The booking app indicated that check-out was 2:00 PM, but the hotel informed us that the check-out time is 12:00 PM. The staff even knocked on the door and called the room before the 2:00 PM check-out time stated in the app, which was a bit inconvenient. ✅ Pros - Convenient location near malls and stores - Affordable place to stay - Nearby convenience stores and Watsons ⚠️ Cons - Very slow Wi-Fi inside the room - Weak mobile signal inside the room -No free toiletries (shampoo, toothbrush, toothpaste) - Confusion with check-out time ⭐ Overall: Since this is already my third stay, the hotel is still a practical choice because of its location and price. However, improvements in Wi-Fi, signal reception, and clearer check-out policies would greatly improve the guest experience.

You can access the hotel by local taxi, but it takes a little time. Each room is independent, so privacy is guaranteed. The pool attached to the room offers a beautiful night view, and the atmosphere is great, combined with the lava decorations unique to volcanic islands. The toilets and showers can be used normally, and there is hot water. The service of the staff was impeccable, and they were always polite when called. (You could order drinks even outside restaurant hours) A recommended hotel.

The hotel itself as a lot of potential. Right on the beach, with a nice terrace and in a quiet location not far from a few restaurants. However, it is very old and would need a full renovation. The rooms are spacious but the amenities are old. The headboard of our bed was full of termites and we could hear them behind us while we were sleeping. Therefore, the whole room was also full of flying termites. It was overall not that clean either. We stayed there for 4 nights and they never came to clean the room, not even the bathroom’s bin. On the last day, the bathroom started smelling like mold. The smell was very strong and we couldn’t do anything to change that. Also, on our last day, we were supposed to leave at 3:30am to go take our 4:30am ferry, the reception having organized a pick-up for us. However, we were woken up by the reception at 2:15am saying our pick-up was already here. The pick-up told us when we were telling him that we were supposed to leave at 3:30am to take the ferry at 4:30 that this ferry didn’t exist and we had to leave now, which we ended up doing. At the pier, when we saw that the 4:30am ferry actually existed, we texted the guy from the pick-up and this time he said that the hotel’s reception had told him to come pick us up at 2:15am. Anyways, I don’t know where was the problem and misunderstanding, but it was not the best way to start our day… To sum up, very mixed feelings about this hotel.

Trully comfortable. TV worked, representatives at ALL LEVELS are wonderful and invitingly helpful. I'll be back!!

A mountainous neighborhood near CDO city. You pay double price for a taxi ride (500 pesos). Beautiful landscape and breathtaking views. The place is pricy but it's worth it. Not everything is impeccable. Plumbing needs renovation. A very good complementary breakfast. Peacocks outside!!! The pool is exquisite - large and clean, with a city view. We had a City View Superior room, highly recommend it

It's about 7️⃣ to 🔟minutes by TukTuk from the airport. It's located a little to the north and west. The resort's own garden can directly see the white island. The garden is also very beautiful. I stayed at this resort for four nights and five days, one night. It is a room facing the seaside garden where you can directly see the coral white sand island. It is very enjoyable. There is a huge toilet, sofa, kitchen, refrigerator, etc. The room has air conditioning, TV, ceiling fan, toilet, ventilation fan, etc. Toiletries can also be provided upon request. The boss is a Westerner, who looks like someone from France and Italy. The wife of the boss is a local and seems to be a very capable woman. The overall service is very good, but because of the island relationship, power outages and network instability are very common things, as island players know (luxury hotels like Madai are not included in the comparison). If there is no internet in the evening, go and chat with the waiter at the English corner. There is a tall waitress with a nice smile. She is lively and fun. She is a fan of domestic idol dramas. She is shy when talking about Chinese male stars. Face. The recommended dinner of chicken and mushroom pasta was the best thing I had in that time (see picture). They are also very active in planning and helping to order TukTuk or multicab. We even got to know each other later and even helped me inquire about the price of the Cebu city tour after I left the hotel, which was very considerate. The hotel guests are mainly Westerners and middle-class local guests. There is also a motorcycle rental service (it is recommended that you know how to drive a motorcycle and have a domestic driver's license. For others, it is recommended to rent a driver because there are many mountain roads and it is not safe).

The property is undeniably beautiful, and we received a warm and welcoming arrival. Unfortunately, our first night’s room service dinner was not edible, which was disappointing, so we chose not to risk dining in again and ate out for the remainder of our stay. The pool did not appear clean, so we opted not to swim, which was unfortunate, although the grounds themselves were absolutely breathtaking. The room was stunning; however, the hotel was quite noisy, with very loud ambient music, making it difficult to get a good night’s sleep each evening. Overall, the hospitality was excellent, and the staff were genuinely lovely. Recommend Nouveau but not highly.

We enjoyed our stay in Unwnd. It is just a few meters from the white island station. You can even see the island at while sitting the sundeck. We also did not have any problem finding places to eat. There is a bbq near the are selling grilled fresh tuna at very affordable price. There is another resto where there is a live singer. But, you could also eat at Unwnd, their resto Mamser serves good food and has a very nice beach ambiance. i like the fish decor and the logo saying ”the art of being chill”. The place is really a good spot to chill. We did swim at the pool, though small, water was warm and refreshing at the same time. We also enjoyed watching the sunset by the breakwaters. We had our room on the second floor with a balcony. The room is clean and comfy. I love the art works displayed all over the place. The foosball and the chess set is an plus. The staff were accommodating and friendly. The only thing I wish that they have is a beach I can walk on.
