Springbok Inn
4/527 Reviews
The stay at Springbok Inn was lovely. The officials at the Inn was really helpful, solved a room problem very quickly, the waiters in the restaurant were also very friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant was really well prepared and one could eat as much as you liked. The waiters were very thoughtful to come to your table and ask if there is anything they could further assist you with or if you still wed something on your food plate & they would also inform few minutes before the closing time of the restaurant for the guests. The location of the Inn is well set and there are no noise pollution of some sort to disturb the guests peace and quiet time. It is easy to find the hotel at night and during the day. Things they may attend to is: The outside air conditioning (makes noise at night), attend to the maintenance of bathrooms and the doors of it. The single beds are quite small and maybe slightly be attended to in the future for bigger 3 quarter bed. Overall was the service delivery satisfying and I will recommend a person to stay there and I will also stay their again. Great Job!!!👏👏👏 See you again!
The Barracks
4.4/548 Reviews
The hosts at The Barracks were delightful and very warming. Check-in was incredibly seamless, and the room we stayed in was very cozy. The historic building in which the BnB is located made things even more charming and worthwhile. The accommodation was spacious, well-ventilated, and very comfortable. The only slight downside is that the WiFi disappeared halfway through the stay and didn't reappear again. Otherwise, things were amazing, including the breakfast that was cooked for us by one of the hosts. Highly recommend this as a place to stay!
Protea Hotel Kimberley
4.1/531 Reviews
Somehow I was not able to contact the hotel by an email in order to get a pick up from the airport, a bit strange for a Protea hotel. I was able to get in contact with Crystalshuttle which offered a fixed rate of ZAR100, which was quite reasonable. The drive from Airport KIM is approx. 15 min. Yes I choose Protea Hotel because of its location next to The Big Hole Museum, which was my purpose of my visit to Kimberley. Protea Kimberley is a Classic hotel, true to its old heritage, which I found very charming. I was lucky to have some peace and quiet during my short stay, and it takes you 1 min. to walk to the museum. Check in was swift and welcoming. I needed to keep my medicine cool, and the staff brought a fridge to my room, now thats what I call good service :-) My room was of good size (ground floor), big comfy bed, stable wifi, telly, aircon, coffee/Tea & kettle (restocked everyday), 1 bottle of water provided everyday. Bathroom of good size, waterpressure very weak and only cold water, shampoo and moisterisor provided. There are no plugs for shawers/ toothbrush etc. in the bathroom. The premises and the rooms was clean and well maintained. I choose to have my breakfast at the hotel (ZAR195) which had a good selection of hot and cold items and great coffee. I also had two meals during my stay which were both well prepared and tasty. All served with a smile by the wonderful staff. I ordered a wake up call for my early departure next morning, the young man at the front desk did not seem to care much about the request and unfortunately I did not receive that wake up call, only woke up 15 mins. prior to my departure making my departure a bit stressfull. Morning staff didnt seem to care much and wished me a good day....A sad ending to a lovely stay. I was happy to visit Kimberley and I did enjoy my stay at the Protea until my departure.
Belurana River Manor
4.2/517 Reviews
A very nice venue overlooking the Orange river which was very full and flowing fast during our visit. Our room was very clean and private and was well furnished. A bit dissappointing that the venue (as a 5 star establishment) did not offer any meals even though they had a restaurant overlooking the river

Calvinia Hotel
3.8/58 Reviews
We initially were booked into a newly varnished large room which we found very dark and were moved to a family unit on the outside back part of the hotel which we really enjoyed. The comfortable bed was spacious with crisp clean linen. The family room also included a second single bedroom and the bathroom offered both shower and bath options. A very friendly cat belonging to the managers daughter spent some time with us which we really enjoyed. The staff were welcoming and courteous, dinner on the patio was enjoyable as was available self service cold breakfast options. We also enjoyed the cooked breakfast.

Protea Hotel Upington

The room layout is beautiful and the front desk welcomes you warmly. The service staff took the initiative to deliver the luggage to the room. The hotel is located next to the Orange River and has beautiful views from the window. It is the first choice in Upington. Thanks Protea Hotel by Marriott for a great trip.
Savoy Hotel Kimberley
2.9/52 Reviews
Kimberley was a city that emerged from gold mining in South Africa, so this hotel has a history of 100 years. Picture one is the appearance of the hotel that year, and Picture two is the appearance of the hotel now. The floor has not changed, but the corridor has disappeared. There are many hotel rooms, which is the most rooms I have ever stayed in this trip. The hotel has parking, WiFi, authentic Western breakfast, although not very rich, but the omelet tastes good. The photo of the room is not up, because after all, the history is long, the facilities are aging, the floor is creaking, can not bear to expose, but it is no problem to live for one night. The room originally arranged at the front desk was on the road. I was afraid of the noise of the vehicle passing by. The front desk changed me to a quiet room that was not on the road.
