Because it is located halfway up Mount Wakakusa, if you don't order a meal, you have to go down the mountain by yourself for dinner, so it is recommended to book a room with two meals. The stargazing activity at 8 o'clock in the evening, the winding mountain road is a bit dizzy, but the scenery on the top of the mountain is worth it. If it is a sunny day, you can see the stars, and it will be more exciting with the lights of thousands of houses below the mountain. If you want to go to the top of the mountain the next day, hiking is also feasible, but the winding mountain road is a bit tortuous and requires physical strength. There are cherry blossoms in spring and snow in winter. The scenery of Mount Wakakusa is endless. I will come again next time.

I used Nara Health Land before entering the hotel. If you stay at a hotel, the usage fee became cheaper and it was a good deal. Also, the check-out time of the room was extended and I enjoyed it slowly. The room was properly futoned, and I rested immediately even if I was tired of playing, so I rested comfortably.

My best appraise is for the services in both of reception and restaurant, especially the staffs from Nepal and Max from Indonesia. Many thanks for the sincere service and patience to my naughty boy, he missed you a lot and he promised to come again next year to see you then. For me, the soundproofing effectiveness is really not friendly, I woke up by the car noises outside many time in the nite😭

The service is in place and the open-air hot springs are also great. The disadvantage is that the sound insulation of the room is not good. Fortunately, the quality of the guests staying in is very high and basically does not affect it. The only thing that cannot accept is that there is no bathroom in the room. Beautiful location along the Kumano Koda trail. Excellent food and beautiful onsen on site. It is isolated (which is part of the charm) so be prepared to walk to town or take the bus if you want go to a market or lunch spot.
