We had a lovely stay, the room’s view was great, bed very comfortable, nice cotton good quality lienen, flexible room service time, water/towels etc always topped up/ refilled. Free luggage storage possible. All really smooth and pleasant. Keep in mind that if you choose smart room- need to say the commands to open the curtains in Chinese. I speak some Chinese and it made the check-in and stay easier, however the person who showed us the room wasn’t very friendly.

This is genuinely the first time I've actively and wholeheartedly given a positive review. The hotel environment is absolutely fantastic, perfect for families with kids – they'll be entertained from morning till night. The hotel also offered so many perks that we couldn't even use them all. Plus, the hotel has a grand layout, which really sets it apart from other family-friendly hotels. The hotel upgraded our room to a waterside room in the main building. This is the first hotel I've ever encountered where you can pack up your buffet breakfast to go! It was incredibly convenient! One morning, the main building restaurant was full with a long queue, so I asked the butler if we could go to the Shuiyuan Restaurant instead. They agreed without hesitation and even arranged for a late check-out. Oh, and adult socks for the kids' club are provided for free! Many other family hotels charge 5 yuan per pair! This really shows their superior approach! We didn't have time to use the complimentary afternoon tea on the day it was offered, but they kindly extended it for us multiple times! Every detail, every request we had, was immediately addressed! They also provided swimming rings and sand toys. In short, with all these thoughtful details, the hotel truly has a big heart and a grand vision! My expectations for family hotels have definitely been raised! Now, for a couple of very minor personal suggestions that I think could be improved: The hotel is very large and primarily caters to families, so the kids' club could be even bigger, perhaps 1500 sq m, 2000 sq m, or even larger, aiming to be the largest kids' club among family hotels in China. I noticed that kids especially love the trampoline, but there's only one, which can lead to older kids without family supervision competing with younger children for it. Other than that, I have no more suggestions; the hotel has done an outstanding job.

The room was spacious, and there was plenty of hot water, plus the air conditioning worked really well. My only minor complaint is that they only offer laundry service and don't have a self-service laundromat. For summer travel, it's much more convenient to be able to wash and dry your own clothes. There was ample parking, which was super handy for picking up and dropping off people at the airport.

Facilities: The apartment is well-equipped, and the bathroom has a separate wet and dry area. Cleanliness: The room was clean and hygienic, with no strange odors. Environment: The apartment is very close to the airport, just a few minutes' drive away. Taxis are also very convenient, and there's a shopping mall nearby, so food and drinks are easily accessible. Service: The service was excellent, and the airport pick-up service was great; just contact the owner in advance. They also responded promptly to any issues. The room was very spacious and offered great value for money.

Our flight was originally scheduled to arrive at 1 AM, and I had arranged an airport pickup with the guesthouse owner. However, due to unforeseen circumstances, we didn't land until past 5 AM. I woke the owner up, and he graciously drove to the airport to pick us up without any complaints. He even took us for breakfast and later dropped us off at the airport around noon. Running a business truly isn't easy! The guesthouse room was clean, tidy, and very quiet, with a comfortable bed. We fell asleep instantly and had a great rest. One of the rooms offered a lovely sea view, and we even caught the sunrise. The guesthouse looks exactly like the pictures on the platform. I travel frequently but rarely write reviews, especially one this long. Wishing the owner prosperous business and continued success!

As an IHG member, I chose the InterContinental Xiamen Seaview for a trip to Xiamen with my parents to celebrate my mother's birthday. I communicated my needs via email before arrival, and the hotel upgraded us to a high-floor sea view room upon check-in, offering superb views, including a glimpse of the Mazu statue. The beach is just a ten-minute walk away, and getting around by taxi is very convenient. The room included a complimentary first round of mini-bar items and welcome fruit. The pool and sauna experience were excellent. When a minor issue arose with the room equipment, the hotel promptly responded by upgrading us to an adjacent room, and the resolution was very satisfactory. Special thanks to our butler, Vivian, who was incredibly responsive and helpful with all matters throughout our stay, solving many of our problems with exceptional dedication. The breakfast selection was extensive, and they even provided an extra breakfast for our party of three. Overall, the experience was fantastic, and I would definitely choose this hotel again on my next visit to Xiamen.

Xiamen Shanxun Yu Hai Seaview Hotel boasts an excellent location, not far from Jimei University Town and Lingling International Circus, making it super convenient for sightseeing. The rooms are well-appointed, clean, tidy, and spacious, with a fantastic layout. Plus, you get direct sea views from the window – absolutely stunning! Breakfast is served on the seventh floor; while simple, it tastes pretty good, and the views from the terrace are breathtaking, perfect for Instagram-worthy photos. The hotel also has its own car park, which is great for those driving. The service is top-notch too; our lovely butler was warm, attentive, patient, meticulous, and very polite. Remember to add the hotel butler's WeChat in advance, as they'll send you the hotel's navigation pin. I highly recommend staying at Shanxun Yu Hai Seaview Hotel!

Gulangyu Liuyue Hotel, full marks, highly recommended! ✨ For accommodation on Gulangyu, look no further than Liuyue! The location is superb, very close to Sunlight Rock, and just a short walk to the beach. It's incredibly convenient for exploring, dining, and getting around. The environment is elegant and clean, and the rooms are tidy and comfortable. The sea view rooms offer an incredible view; open the window and you're greeted by the sea and lush greenery – so peaceful and therapeutic. The service is incredibly thoughtful. They send you the island arrival route in advance, and the staff are warm and patient, giving very helpful recommendations for routes and local food. Overall, the value for money is excellent. It's quiet and not noisy, and the stay was a perfect experience. This is definitely the top choice for Gulangyu, you won't be disappointed! 💯

Years ago, I used to visit Xiamen (Lüdao) quite often, and some details just slipped my mind. You truly get a deeper feel for a place once you've genuinely integrated into it. In December 2023, I stayed in Xiamen for almost half a month due to training. My lasting impressions of this typical tourist city were the difficulty of getting a taxi, the narrow roads, and the tour groups everywhere. This time, on our way back after a food trip to Chaozhou, we decided to be smart. To avoid the massive crowds on Xiamen Island and Gulangyu, we chose to stay in a guesthouse in Jimei Study Village. We figured that since faraway tourists mostly flock to Baicheng Beach and Zhongshan Road, the sights outside the island hadn't yet gained widespread fame, so we should be able to enjoy plenty of peace and quiet. Unfortunately, things didn't go as planned. Banana Bay, Dragon Boat Pond, Dashe… everywhere was packed with people, and all entrances and exits had traffic controls in place. At first, everyone grumbled when they saw shared bikes were prohibited. But once you walked through the narrow alleys, you understood the administration's good intentions. After a stroll around, I felt that compared to the noise and disorder of Zengcuo'an and Shapowei, Jimei Dashe was much more orderly and clean. The small shops also had their own unique charm, no wonder it has become a new popular spot for Instagrammers.
