The food options are quite convenient, and the hotel's location is great for catching the House of Dancing Water show. However, the soundproofing isn't great. You can clearly hear children running and shouting in the hallways, which I don't think is up to par for a five-star hotel; that was a real downside. The complimentary water and minibar drinks were decent. There's a bit of a view from outside, but unfortunately, the Ferris wheel was out of service for maintenance when I visited, so I didn't get to ride it.
The room was nice; I booked a sea-view room.
My daughter and I used to come here when she was little. Back then, it was quite new, with a beautiful and very comfortable environment, and it was called The Westin Resort Macau.
Originally, The Westin Resort Macau opened in 1993 and was renovated in 2004. In 2013, it won the Silver Award in the 'Macau Green Hotel Award.' In 2020, it was rebranded as the Grand Coloane Resort.
Now, under new management, the attention to detail in the decor is not as good as before, and it hasn't been redecorated, so it feels a bit dated. However, its unique location, right by Hac Sa Beach, makes it perfect for a family vacation away from the hustle and bustle. The original hotel architecture and garden design still retain that holiday vibe.
I'll definitely come back, hoping for some improvements, especially with the details.
Stayed one night at the Pousada de Coloane, a charming Portuguese-style building.
The small beach below has clearer water than Hac Sa Beach, though the sand isn't as fine. Perhaps due to the limitations of the original architecture and renovation costs, the decor isn't particularly refined. However, the new wall tiles immediately catch your eye.
Every room faces the sea and has a balcony with an excellent view.
Pousada de Coloane is a historic hotel steeped in Portuguese charm, with roots tracing back to the 1930s.
Origins: The hotel was originally a private estate built in the 1930s.
Official Opening: The estate was formally converted into a hotel and began operations in 1977, and was managed by the same family for over 25 years.
Architectural Style: The hotel's architecture retains traditional Portuguese elements like arched doorways, azulejo tiles, vintage furniture, and decorative ceramic plates on the walls, creating an antique and peaceful atmosphere away from the hustle and bustle.
I highly recommend staying at the Conrad Macao when visiting Macau, especially for families. My mom and I stayed for three nights this time, and we were very satisfied with the overall service.
The hotel is easily accessible; we took the Londoner shuttle from the airport, and it got us to the hotel entrance in less than half an hour. The surrounding transportation is very convenient.
The hotel is connected to The Londoner, with a shopping mall right downstairs. It's also very close to The Venetian, making the location extremely convenient.
We arrived at the hotel at 1:30 PM and were able to check in immediately without any waiting. The front desk staff were very welcoming and even gave us a Macau map and a tourist guide.
The elevator attendants were also very friendly, always greeting guests with a smile. We saw them every day, and they were always helpful with pressing the elevator buttons and providing directions.
We stayed on the 20th floor, close to the elevator, and had a view of the Eiffel Tower. The room was quite spacious, clean, tidy, and well-equipped. The slippers and toiletries were also of good quality.
There was turndown service in the evenings, and we received a Conrad teddy bear and an eye mask. They even neatly organized the charging cables scattered on the table. All the staff were excellent.
Overall, it was a great experience, and I would choose to stay here again in the future.
This hotel is an excellent choice for families with children. It's very close to Galaxy Macau and the Light Rail Transit, making it super convenient for getting around. The staff are really enthusiastic, and they even offer turn-down service. After a two-day stay, my impression of the hotel, the Galaxy Group, and Macau as a whole is incredibly positive. I'll definitely choose Andaz again next time I'm in Macau. It's a shame that perhaps because it was Chinese New Year, the hotel didn't provide their co-branded slippers this time ☺ (though the cotton slippers were very comfortable, so I didn't bother asking for the branded ones). The gym is open 24/7, and the mini-bar drinks and snacks are refilled endlessly 😋. On this trip, I also became a fan of Byredo's Blanche toiletries from the hotel (it used to be on my perfume blacklist!).
MOP 300 F&B credit: Didn't really use it, no big deal.
Ying Kee Bakery souvenirs: Took them home! 🤣
Facilities: The facilities and decor are all excellent.
Hygiene: Everything is very clean. There's turn-down service, and during housekeeping hours, they thoughtfully organize your scattered items on the table, placing them on a small mat with the hotel logo underneath, so you can easily find everything when you return to your room.
Service: The greeter will escort you directly to the front desk for check-in. Standard check-in is after 3 PM, but if you arrive early, it's fine; you can store your luggage at the front desk. Once your room is ready, the hotel will deliver your luggage directly to your room, so it doesn't interrupt your shopping. ☺ In summary: the service is genuinely excellent.
Environment: Just look at the pictures!
Our stay at the JW Marriott Hotel Macau was truly exceptional. The grand, beautifully decorated lobby immediately sets a luxurious tone. Our room was spacious, spotless, and thoughtfully equipped with modern amenities such as international plug outlets and a large, elegant bathroom (with excellent water pressure and soothing bath salts). The bed linens and pillows were wonderfully soft and comfortable, and the view from our executive-floor room on the 28th floor was breathtaking — a full panorama of the Grand Resort Deck and its lively waterpark, which we thoroughly enjoyed with the kids. The hotel also has a fantastic kids’ room that our children absolutely loved, adding even more joy to our family stay. With direct access to The Promenade mall and its great range of restaurants, plus a wide and delicious breakfast selection, everything felt convenient and indulgent. Service was impeccable throughout, and special thanks go to Manuel, who kindly showed us around at check-in and arranged our transport upon departure. A truly memorable stay in every way.
The hotel room facilities are well-maintained, and the service is excellent. It's very family-friendly with a kids' play area, perfect for traveling with children – my baby had a great time! The shopping mall downstairs is super convenient, and Taipa Village is just a five-minute walk away. I'll definitely come back again.
Clean and tidy, very spacious. Special thanks to Jaypee for being very accomadating and making our stay comfortable and worth it. Surely will comeback again next time. 👍👍
Banyan Tree was an absolute delight. From the moment I arrived, the staff went above and beyond to ensure my stay was exceptional. The room was spacious, immaculately clean, and beautifully decorated. The hotel's amenities, including the spa, exceeded my expectations. I can't recommend the Banyan Tree enough - it's the perfect choice for a relaxing and indulgent getaway.
